My wife and I have stayed here 6 or 7 times over the last 5 years. All of our previous stays would have rated five stars but we're sad to say that now it's down to four. They breakfast used to be a tray filled with an assortment of great delights along with the New York Times at your door. Now, the paper has been eliminated and the breakfast is a "pick two items" type offering that just doesn't equal up to our past experiences. As a matter of fact I'm almost tempted to bring the rating to a three star because that morning breakfast used to be a very relaxing and enjoyable part of the stay. Without it, you can stay anywhere that's got a comfortable bed. In fact, the next time we go to Cape May for an over night stay we'll be looking for alternatives as their cost cutting measures have left them descend into the ranks of the "good but not exceptional" offerings in town.
