My husband and I stayed at the Gingerbread house for four nights over the July 4th weekend. It was a wonderful experience for both of us. The house is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The food is delicious no matter if you are in the mood for a long, leisurely breakfast or a quick bite before hitting the beach. Even though situated one-half block from the beach, it is quiet at night so you can sleep undisturbed. Fred and Joan run a tight ship and are terrific hosts.

I loved my June 2008 stay at The Gingerbread House on Gurney Street in Cape May. The innkeepers are the BEST, and the rooms and breakfast are wonderful. Their location makes everything just perfect - one block from the beach - what could be better! I am looking forward to next year's trip to Cape May and The Gingerbread House!

With fastidious attention to detail and exemplary standards of hospitality, Fred and Joan truly go the extra mile to make this B&B experience one to treasure. Their warm greeting and kind nature were welcoming and in keeping with the spirit of Victorian charm. Wholesome breakfast and homemade treats at tea time provide the needed energy to explore this historical wonderland of Cape May. Situated steps from the beach and walking mall in the center of town this tranquil location comes highly recommended.

This is an excellent B & B. The owners are friendly and offer a fabulous homemade breakfast with excellent fruit and cakes, as well as homemade desert for afternoon tea. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with lovely antiques They also provide wonderful creams and shampoos. The front second floor room, #1, includes a porch overlooking the street and the ocean is at the end of the street. At night you can hear the ocean waves.
