We wanted a get away weekend. We found it. The inn was very quaint, the front porch was awsome to sit on and drift away. We really enjoyed the staff, they always tried to make us feel at home.

Room Tip: Rooms were very victorian and roomy

This quaint bed and breakfast is in a great location. The staff went over and above to ensure all of our needs were met. They provided a comfy cozy atmosphere with an attentive staff. Great value for the dollar too. I would highly recommend this bread and breakfast if you are looking for a great getaway in a prime location

The porch is big and beautiful. Landscaping lovely and our room was just grand. Rita, the owner, is the sweetest, most concerned lady and always makes us feel welcome.

The location is great. This inn just misses the details! Cat on premises and they never mention that on the website or when we booked. This would have been helpful since I am allergic to cats and we would not have stayed there. The William of Orange room was nice, but the bed felt like it was going to fall apart. The Jaccuzzi only had 3 jets working out of 6. Tiles were missing on the tub and rust rings around the water faucets as well as stained towels. It is clearly an inn for just sleeping. I would suggest they take advantage of supporting their local businesses and supply fresh pastries from right around the corner. Instead, it was Thomas' bagels, dry toast and english muffins. If you are an early riser, forget anything to eat. 9:00 AM is when they put out the store-bought food. There were fresh made muffins, but it wasn't anything special, small muffins and a box mix taste. Again, just missing the details. We just didn't get the feeling that the owners really cared about the guests, comforts and the details...just the dollars. We are glad we stayed there...but won't be back.

Upon arriving at Captain Mey's Inn, I could find no one to check me in. I went back outside and found the Inn Keeper, Rita, had been doing some work in the yard and didn't see me walk in. After this bit of confusion, the rest of our 3 night stay here was great. we felt like we were staying with a relative. Breakfasts were help yourself, and the table was well stocked with fruit, fresh muffins, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, several types of bread for toast, juice, coffee, and decaf. This place has, an A+ location in the historic district, only a few houses from the Washington Street mall and a couple of blocks to the beach. Wonderful front porch for relaxing days or evenings enjoying the sea air. The bed and room were good and the house is full of the usual antiques you would expect at a B&B in Cape May.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor and heard no noises from the other guests

Stayed here for a few nights on the way home after a business trip. The Inn is very nice with the usual Victorian decor. Location is perfect, off street parking is a great extra. As others have noted, the 24 hour availability of Keurig coffes and teas, fresh fruit and water cooler are also a plus. Not only do they have beach chairs for you to use, there are also beach towels so you do not have to lug any of that from home! There is a full bath available to freshen up on your check out day if you want to spend the day at the beach before heading home. I also appreciated the iron in the room so you did not have to ask for one as you do at most Inns. The staff and owner are very accomodating. I let them know about an issue with the beach tag police - they really went out of their way to 'make it right'. All told, I have come to Cape May for about 10 years and I felt most at home here!

My husband and I stayed at the Captain Mey's B & B for the Jazz Festival weekend. It was the best stay ever. We were right in the heart of town and in walking distance to eveything. The Inn keepers are very friendly. The continental breakfast was just delicious. We stayed in the Peter Stuyvesant Room. We were so delighted in our stay that we are planning another trip there soon.
