“Stockton Inns solid hotel choice”

Great location for families - right across street from beach and arcade, next to mini golf location. food fun shopping all within walking distance. rooms were decent size, noticed lots of outlets for electronics charging! little things missing like hooks on back of bathroom door, no security locks on room door; pool was a decent size and well maintained. hotel front desk staff left a little to be desired, not very accommodating. Woman would not even let weary travelers (paying customers) use her office restroom as we checked in!! but overall a good experience.

I have loved Cape May, NJ for years with my parents. I than had my husband fall in love with it too! We came July 2013 for our 1st Family Vacation with our 2 year old. It was perfect for couples and now a family! Perfect location right across from the beach and still nice and quiet! Friendly and helpful staff, cleaning all the time, park in the lot and walk the rest of the time, if you want to stay in and cook you can or go out! Perfect and clean swimming pool. Always check out the deals and specials because The Stockton Inn is the only place that we will ever stay at in Cape May. Trust me I have looked and keep coming back to stay just here! I always get a feeling of being at home and never want to leave.

Room Tip: Make sure to spend sometime in the evening up on the sun deck. Beautiful and relaxing! Plus the view...

We stayed on the second floor of the Manor. The room was small but comfortable for two people staying two nights. The best part about the room was the view...you really could see the ocean right from bed! The bed, however, was hard and creaky. We had to close the window at night and put on a/c to drown out noise from the mini golf course below us, but it was nice to open early in the morning and hear the ocean. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant. Would stay here again.

We came up for a family vacation. Went to Wildwood for the rides but stayed in cape may for the location. Stockton Inn was across from the excellent beach and close to bike rental & mini golf & the downtown area. Efficiency room on the first floor.

We stayed in the Manor on the second floor with an ocean view. I believe this was one of their smaller rooms but the space was adequate for two people. We were impressed that they had a small refrigerator in the room. The room and common areas of the Manor were very clean and decorated in the classic Victorian style. Only 2 things kept me from giving my stay 5 stars: the queen size bed in our room and the bathroom. Although the bed was clean, it was a bit hard and squeaked a lot (with limited effort). The bathroom was clean and stocked well but had trace noticable amounts of mildew in the shower/tub. We did stay at the end of the season so some of these things may have been overlooked and the result of a long hard summer (particularly the loose bed :-). Typically B&Bs of this quality have higher quality towels. The towels they supplied are of the quality usually found in cheaper chain hotels and motels. The location to the beach and the views from the manor were impressive. The porch and the old wooden rocking chairs in front of the building were inviting. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would most likely stay here again if the price right of course.

Spent three nights at the Stockton Inn and was very pleased with the property. We received a friendly and courteous welcome at the front desk and were given complete and detailed information on the places we wished to visit. The location is great, right on Beach Avenue in the historic area and within reasonable walking distance a good selection of restaurants and the Washington Mall shopping area.

Our room was an efficiency unit and was well outfitted with a small cook top, refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, a full complement of dishes, pots & pans and cooking utensils. There were even coffee filters and dish washing detergent.
I would have liked to have a microwave but that is only a minor detraction. The room was very clean and house keeping did a very good job of meeting our needs and schedule. The property is well maintained and everything is kept clean and fresh.

There is a small pool, however we did not get to try it out due to weather conditions but it appeared to be well maintained and clean.

This is a great classic beach motel, not fancy but clean and well maintained with a helpful and friendly staff and close to everything including the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

The choice is either the Manor or the Motor Lodge and we chose the Victorian Manor with all the 19th century memorabilia, and décor, and lighting anyone could ever imagine. We stayed on the second floor in a very clean and quaint room that had a large flat screen TV, refrigerator and air conditioner. That was an anachronism, but much appreciated by we Americans. The first day, the bathroom sink would not drain properly; this was attended to and fixed immediately. We had an ocean view room with two windows; it was sunny, and pleasant and pretty. The AC provided white noise while we slept (no other noise heard at any time in Stockton Manor); the front porch offered old fashioned rocking chairs and friendly guests. The adjoining Stockton Mini Golf Course was well attended and we also enjoyed 19 holes; very well maintained and enjoyable.

Room Tip: We would NOT recommend this Inn to anyone who has difficulty dealing with stairs, or who has any pro...
