if you are in Wildwood NJ make sure to try out this restaurant - it is a good spot ,chef knows his food for sure , , and food is well prepared - I found it pricey for the experience that it delivers but finding fresh well prepared meals in Jersey is already a feat , so I have to recommend this place ,
The original welcome could be a little friendlier, the hostess is surely stuck in another time zone , and somehow does not understand the hospitality business in 2013 . While the setting is not 3 star Michelin ,nevertheless she comes across as if you are entering a Jersey version of a "Cordon Blue" snobby french dining place. Not the case !
I have eaten in many good restaurants and my hometown is Montreal where food is excellent at reasonable rates, so i can easily say , pretension is not what eating is about these days.
None the less , with the "bring your own wine" policy eating is somewhat affordable - otherwise main entrées are overpriced at 38.00 for an aged rib eye it is a good thing that wine can be purchased at across the street store prices.
While we ate we overheard the chef's wife ( the owner I believe ) speak to a table across from us . NOW! she understood hospitality , had zest in her demeanour was happy- smiling and
concerned about the couple she was speaking with .
Replace the hostess ,,Please !
