We arrived slightly earlier than our reservation and were offered one of two disappointing table choices in a somewhat full restaurant. Once we realized that arriving early there were still many diners eating from an earlier booking time, and could see that many were almost finished. I asked the lovely and polished hostess if instead, we could wait a few minutes for a window table. It was no problem and we had our dinner at a light and airy window location. Ordering our dinner we requested a small dietary modification on a salad with cheese on top, and again were told it was no problem. The food was delicious, the wait staff was smooth and unobtrusive, and the hostess stopped by a few times to check if we were enjoying ourselves and our selections. We ordered the spiced beef and the hanger steak, both excellent, beautifully presented, and generous. The only disappointment was that although we had anticipated having wine with dinner, we learned upon ordering that the restaurant has a BYOB policy. Apparently the restaurant customarily informs guests when they reserve, but the woman I spoke with at that time overlooked informing me. The hostess apologized for the mistake and earnestly advised us that there was a wine store across the street if we wanted to get some wine. I suggest that It would be helpful for potential diners if their website included the BYOB status. We decided to forego the wine and it did not at all spoil what was quite a nice dinner.
