It was our first time to Cape May and we were traveling with our 2 little girls (ages 2 and 4). We didn't want to stay at a hotel so we hunted for a child-friendly Victorian Inn. This place was WONDERFUL.
It is clear that the owners take very very good care of this place. The house is gorgeous. We had the third floor, Turret Suite. It was so lovely and so so comfortable. There were two large sized bedrooms--
the master bedroom had its own very nice and luxurious bathroom. There was a nice sized sitting area with a gas fireplace and there was a little kitchen that had everything one could need: full size stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge, deep sink, granite counter tops, eating and cooking utensils--everything. There was a deck off the kitchen where you could sit out and enjoy the views and the breeze--the girls loved the entire space.
The owners are so friendly and accommodating. They had videos on hand for the girls--and they came in handy. They always asked if we needed anything, but we didn't. The room already had everything we could have needed.
The location of the Inn is perfect. A block from the beach, walking distance to all the sites of the City of Cape May.
There is a rumor that the third floor is haunted, but no ghosts bothered us while we were there!
All in all, I would highly recommend this place for anybody--but if you are traveling with children and don't want to give up on a Victorian Inn experience, this place in particular is just perfect.
Just know that they provide hand/bath soap, but not shampoo/
conditioner or lotion. We knew before we went so were prepared.
