This restaurant is, in my opinion, the best in Cape May. Actually, it is - by far - the best restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of dining in.
Mimi Woods has been the chef here for many years and is absolutely the best. Her creativity and presentation is bar none. (Kathy, the pasty chef, is a celebrity in her own right, too.)
For an appetizer, the crab cakes can not be beat.
My favorite entree is the "Late Night Filet" - but the Tournedos of Pork Diane is amazing as well. The wine selection is amazing (stop downstairs to see the wine cellar if you're there) - and, no matter what dessert you order, you can't go wrong.
Get there early to have a cocktail in the bar area with Marty, their bartender.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is romantic, so comfortable, yet elegant all wrapped in to one. One dining room is more beautiful than the next.
The menu and the quality of the food could stand alone - yet is far enhanced by the staff at this restaurant. From the bartender to the wine steward to the wait staff - the service is excellent. Most of these people have worked at the Inn for years, and they are extremely friendly, gracious, and knowledgeable.
We love this place so much, we got married there.
