The Washington Inn is and always will be our favorite Cape May spot. The wine list is spectacular, food fabulous and will always be thought of as a quiet place just for mom & dad. We are usually with friends and we swap nights so we can get just a little private time.

I live in Cape May County so the Washington Inn is a short drive and my husband and I go a few times a year. We've been to most of Cape May's dining establishments and this is, hands down, the best restaurant in Cape May. The food is awesome, the restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is fantastic. Mimi, the Chef has a true gift as does Kathy, the Pastry Chef. It is pricey, but worth every penny.

My husband and I have been going to Cape May for romantic getaways for over 10 years and the highlight of our trip has always been dining at the Washington Inn. Many of the wait staff are the same, year after year, all of whom are very professional and dedicated to serving you. The food is always exceptional, fresh ingredients, well prepared and generous portions, unusual for an upscale restaurant. Be prepared to experience the difference between eating out and fine dining. Even when we head down to Atlantic City for an overnite trip, we always plan a visit to our favorite restaurant. On ocassion, we have even driven the 2+ hours from our house just for a wonderful meal and then turned around and gone home. I must comment on their creme brulee which is truly the best I have ever tasted. I find myself not wanting to try it at other restaurants because I am always comparing it to theirs. Their rack of lamb, jewel of provence, crab cakes, everything on their menu is just incredible. They have little touches like a wonderful assortment of breads and flatbreads to start your meal and tea and coffee are always served with their homemade biscotti even if you don't order a separate dessert. We have always left happily satisfied and planning our next visit. Cape May has some truly wonderful restaurants and this is simply the BEST!

My boyfriend and I went to dinner at the Inn last time we were in Cape May, and we absolutely loved it! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the waitstaff was so courteous. We frequently visit Cape May, and we have heard great things from other visitors as well as the locals about this restuarant. I can't recommend it enough!
