“Best Restaurant in Cape May”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We discovered Tisha's while walking the Washington Street Mall in search of an anniversary dinner on Thanksgiving weekend two years ago. Many seashore restaurants are closed at this time of year, and we were so happy to be taken without a reservation (we've made reservations ever since). We were warmly welcomed with excellent service, a refined yet comfortable atmosphere, and a meal that has us talking to this day. We didn't know it was a BYOB, but the hostess guided us to a wine and spirit store around the corner. We returned for New Year's Eve as well as my summer birthday, so I feel confident that this is the norm no matter the time of year. The food is delicious and beautifuly presented, suitable to the seasons (pumpkin ravioli with sage sauce in the fall, yum!) and delightful to the palate.. We've recommended Tisha's to many others and they've not been disappointed. Dining at Tisha's is not "eating supper." It is an experience that we would highly recommend.

What a treat! Comfortable dining atmosphere; small and intimate. Excellent food and BYOB. Good luck finding a better dinner on the island. WOW!

“Very Good Food With Excellent Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Celebrating a rare spring-like day this winter, we took a car trip to Cape May. We enjoyed an afternoon of sunshine and ocean breezes. We decided dinner at Tisha's before we left would cap off a perfect day. We weren't disappointed. The food here is very good, albeit a bit overpriced. Service is also very good and my kudos to management for training so well such a young staff. Why is it so difficult for restaurants to understand that no matter how good the kitchen, presentation and service determine how well a meal is enjoyed? But at Tisha's, the staff were polite, quickly filled water glasses, understood the menu, and knew how to serve. The only demerit was serving one plate across a diner to another rather than stepping another foot to the side so that this would not have been necessary. That this stands out is only a testament to how good the service is. The plates were warm and not only interesting to look at, but appropriate for the dishes served. Whoever manages the front of the house deserves a lot of credit. We started with the fried oysters. They were huge but very tender. The "drizzle" of sauce was just a bit too much, however, and at times overwhelmed the flavor of the oysters. The next course was an absolutely perfect house salad that was included in the meal. Delicious greens whose taste and freshness was highlighted by just the right amount of a delicious vinaigrette. Our entrees consisted of lobster tails served over black linguini and a salmon. The lobster would have been better had it not so much garlic. The salmon portion was very large and extremely delicious. Presentation was beautiful. We skipped dessert but finished with a double espresso (not very good) and a cappuccino that was made better after the waitress nicely offered to add more steamed milk. Eating at Tisha's provided an excellent dining experience.

“Don't miss the lobster bisque”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

We eat at Tisha's every time we are in Cape May. Nice BYOB right on the mall. Lunch or Dinner. Both are consistently great. This time we had lunch and I had the Lobster Bisque. Wow! The best I've ever had. Rich and creamy with plenty of very tender pieces of lobster. We also shared a chicken salad wrap which was also tasty. Our waitress was helpful and made the visit a fun experience. Never miss it!
