We stayed here the weekend just before Hurricane Sandy is to arrive. The staff was exceptionally nice and upgraded our room upon check-in. The room is old fashioned with some rust here and there but was very clean. The bed, however, was way too hard and sleeping was not easy. We have been coming to Cape May every Oct. to celebrate our anniversary and we got married right across the street on the beach. It was so wonderful to have such a short walk to the beach where we said our vows. As we were leaving, taking our last look at the beach area, we saw the water level rising and coming towards the street. I hope that the area isn't hurt too badly. God bless Cape May!!

We have stayed in the Jetty Motel, on and off, since 1980. The former owners....George and Vicki were wonderful. They took pride in their business, as it was passed down from George's family. The Jetty motel was always being upgraded and it was as clean as any 4-5star accommodation that you can find. After it was sold, I would like to know what happened! i don't think it has been updated since the business was sold.We spent the October 14th, 2012 weekend there and we will never stay again. The room was totally not acceptable...mold in the bathroom tub and rust around the bathroom sink. I was so upset that I even looked under the bed where I found a thick layer of dust I feel that if you have a business, take time to upgrade and maintain a place where guests will always come back. Again, Cape May will always be my family's second home.....but never at the Jetty Motel.....how very sad!

When in Cape May NJ, I always stay, at my second home the Jetty Motel. I've been staying there for all most 13 yrs now and have always found it to be comfortable, clean,and friendly!!! The staff there are incrediable!!!!! Cindy,acting manager is the most accomadating person you will find her staff go all out to please your every need. Everyone there makes you feel welcome. I've met people there that have become my dearesy friends. I'll be back, again and again and again!! Love you guys!!!!!

The Jetty Motel has a friendly, homey atmosphere. It is a basic motel, clean, nicely decorated and, best of all - and what you are really paying for - the beach is right across the street. The motel does not provide beach tags on the deposit system so you do have to purchase tags. Motel is built in a basic "L", so views depend on location of room - we had a nice view of the light house from the small "kitchen" window. All second floor rooms have ocean views - no elevator. First floor rooms do not. Each room has a couple chairs placed outside in front of the unit however there are no "private" balconies or patios - all common walkways. All rooms front on the pool which is average size for a motel, was clean and enjoyed by quite a few guests but not overcrowded. Unless you are a walker or bring/rent bikes, you will want to drive to most of the restaurants and shopping as it would be a bit of a hike. Our room had a kitchenette - table, coffee pot (coffee not provided bring your own), microwave, fridge, sink....they do provide dishes and utensils and dish detergent too! There is no onsite restaurant or bar. There are a couple places that are within walking distance but not the best that Cape May has to offer. Bathroom amenities are limited to soap but I usually bring my own toiletries anyway. They also provide coffee/tea and small packaged muffins & danish in the office every morning. Bring towels for the beach/pool. There is plenty of onsite parking, one space per unit. Enjoy!
