“Wonderful time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

My wife Sue and I, along with our good friends Pete and Mary, stayed at the Inn recently and had an excellent time. Jim, our Innkeeper, was an excellent host and spent a good deal of time with us showing us all the amenities of the Inn, plus reviewing all the restaurants in the area. We made reservations at 2 of the restaurants Jim recommended and had great meals at both of them. Jim also reviewed all the activities going on that weekend and interesting sites nearby.
The Inn itself is wonderful, with its Victorian style and furniture. There was a formal dining room we ate breakfast in as well as a sunny veranda for those choosing to eat there. The staff were very pleasant and did a great job of taking care of us. The breakfasts were outstanding with eggs and sausage one day and Belgian waffles another day. Our room was very comfortable with fridge, heater, A/C and flat-screen TV. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Golden Bud room on the 2nd floor of the Inn, which had a king bed and a sitting are...

We had a great time on our weekend get-away with our friends. The location was convenient, the inn was white-glove clean and nicely decorated. The room was comfortable and the modern bathroom was a plus. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't haunted, though. :)

Breakfast was incredible, and the staff was especially friendly and helpful. We didn't get to meet Lenanne, but Jim was exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing great advice on where to eat, what to visit, etc.

Overall, an excellent B&B.

This was my second stay at this bed and breakfast. The breakfast is great, plus you get an afternoon snack, water, tea and coffee. The rooms are kept nice with nice ammenties. It is also in a great location easy to walk and get around. The owner is a wealth of information, knows all the restaurants and events going on.

This weekend we made our 8th or 9th visit to Cape May, NJ. I feel that this many experiences (at various B&Bs) makes us at least semi-capable of reviewing and comparing.

The Albert Stevens Inn ranks extremely highly in a few of the qualities that we most look for in a B&B. First and foremost is the care, concern and warmth of the innkeepers and their staff. Jim and Linanne are the owners. While we did meet Linanne (who was lovely), we spent more time with Jim. He couldnt have been more interested in the guests' comfort and experience; a very pleasant conversationalist, he was also eager to make recommendations of activities and restaurants (and even made reservations for some of the guests at crowded restaurants).

On Saturday afternoon Jim saw us and told us that, while cleaning our room, one of the staff members accidently broke my wife's travel alarm clock. Despite the fact that the clock was still functional (just chipped plastic cover), he informed us that they had already ordered a replacement clock to be sent to our home!!

We also took much advantage of the nice quality bicycles that the inn provides for free. Finally, I must mention the food; not only do they provide a sumptuous breakfast and 24 hour coffee, but also wine, gourmet cheeses and meats and fresh baked goods at 4pm "tea time".

All in all, we HIGHLY recommend this inn.

My husband and I celebrated out anniversary here for the weekend in October. Cape May in the Fall is beautiful!! Jim was very accommodating upon our arrival. He was very friendly and went above and beyond.. He was doing the work of two people because his wife was in the hospital from surgery she had. The waffles were delicious and so was the parfait. I loved the afternoon drinks, cheeses and cookies.. He recommended a lot of Restaurants to us. I like that it's off the beaten path. It's very quiet and the bed in the Tapestry Room was really comfy!
