“One of the best campgrounds we have been to!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2011

We were exceptionally surprised and pleased with our weekend family vacation at Seashore. It was a TON of fun with endless free activities. The facilities were exceptionally clean and modern. We have 2 teenagers and they had a blast. There were all kinds of campers here from retirees, young couples, groups of college kids, to families with children of all ages. There really is something for everyone here.

We are tent campers. Our "primitive" campsite had ample space, lots of shade, good drainage, and was very close to a water spicket. It was very quiet at night, and we had an excellent view of the stars.

It is within a 5 to 10 minute drive from both Cape May Beaches (which cost $5 a person to enter plus street parking) and the wonderfully fun and fantastic free Wildwood Beaches. Parking at Wildwood beach ran between $4 and $8 for us. The boardwalk was a blast and was alive with all sorts fun activities, yummy food, and great people watching.

The campground itself is also filled with tons of swimming and activities. It has a gorgeous inground swimming pool as well as a well maintained swimming lake. They have a huge activity center in a modern building as well as a movie theater. While we were there we enjoyed a free ice cream social and band that played at the pavillion which was also very modern clean and well maintained. Attached to the pavillion is their registration building. This building is more like a hotel lobby. It has a delicious and well priced snack shop, convenience store, gift shop, and decorative waterfall. The staff are exceptionally friendly and provided us with all sorts of free maps, flyers, and coupons for local activities in the area.

We couldn't find enough good things to say about this campground. We have been camping for 20 years as a couple and about 12 years with our kids and this was one of our favorite campgrounds and coastal beach getaways. We will definetely go back.

We just got back from nearly a week at Seashore and were impressed overall. The facilities and sites were very clean and organized. The staff were friendly, informative, and generally quite helpful. From what we could tell, all sites are gravel with concrete slabs. The gravel may be hard on your bare feet but it drains quickly (I'd much prefer to wear shoes more often than to wallow around in a muddy campsite). Best of all we were literally minutes from Cape May and Wildwood beaches.
The snack bar hade a huge variety of treats. The ice cream sundaes were very generous for the $. Camping supplies were slightly higher than what I would consider reasonable, but not by much (compared to Wal-Mart, Target, etc). There's also an ATM if you need cash on the spot.
The ONLY negative experience was the arrival of a loud and obnoxious group that rolled in at about 1:45-2am. They made NO effort to respect other campers by being quiet after parking their vehicle or when they rode back up to the front of the campground on their cart (shouting, cursing loudly, slamming car doors repeatedly). I had no idea where they were staying or who they were otherwise I'd have been happy to report them to management for their ignorance. Thankfully the majority of the campground seems to be normally very peaceful and quiet. A potentially relaxing place to stay.

Room Tip: Have bug spray handy...mosquitos were occasionlly out looking for a fresh meal.

This was our 5th straight year going to Seashore. This year, as last, we spent 14 nights camping.

We really love this place. It is a little pricey for a campground, but from what I hear it is competitive with surrounding campgrounds. The place is really well kept, and quiet. Washrooms and facilities are cleaned a few times a day and generally very clean.

The pool is great, although when it is really hot it can get crowded. The lake is nice and well kept, but I am not a fan of artificial lakes.

The store is good, and has a number of last minute items...they are also fairly priced.

The campground is 11km (6.5 miles) from Wildwood beach...Cape May is a little closer. Grocery stores, shopping and liquor stores are all closer than that.

I would give this place a five on five rating if it was not for the wifi. I know, who goes to camp to use wifi, but it is nice to stay in touch with family using Skype. Their new wifi policy gives one hour free per pc (not per user)....so if you are a number of families with only one pc, then you all have to share...also the wifi is very slow. Previous years wifi was unlimited and free (coverage was not as good as though, so you had to make your way to the front of the campground).

Overall I would definately recommend this place.

Only getting to write about this now we stay last year in August. Had a good time while there. There was alot of things to do Wife & I love to walk saw the whole camp ground friends were staying in wildwood not far to get there. The only thing we think is on the down side is the site area were we stayed was small you are very close to each other & people walk threw your camp site or put things right next to your camper from there site.
We wished we could had stayed longer we where there 3 nights but the site was booked
the person in the office said if we would like to stay we could move to another site but we packed up are stuff & moved on. The camp ground offered us a spot to put are camper for the day so we did not have to leave right away which was nice so we could to wildwood for the day just had to pick it up by 6 pm. Would say there again just get a different site.

We camped here in a pop up.

I want to start off by saying this is the cleanest campground I have ever seen. Their camp store is also the best that I have ever seen in a campground. It puts most conveniece stores to shame. The prices are also reasonable and the owners should rightly be proud of this. The spots also were immaculate. They were clean, there was no brush in the spots (for those spots who had dirt) and the fire rings were clean.

Now for the bad. Since we camped in a pop up and the park was not full, we got a space by the seasonal part of the campground. This area was wooded and had space between the spots. Overall it was a great location, except for the noise. There were people behind us who spoke very loud, and did not shut up. They had no respect for the quiet hours at all. This noise started at 7:15 am and did not stop until after 11:30. The second night we were there, we called security and they came and the noise stopped for 5 minutes. The noise started again and we had to call security to again to get them to shut up. I have never seen this before in a campground.

Another concern that I have about this campground is the closeness of the spaces that were assigned to the class A, B and C units. The spaces were paved and slightly bigger than a driveway. There were units with slideouts and I dont think that they were able to use the slideouts. That section of the park had all the charm of a Wal Mart parking lot.

Would we stay here again, probably not.

We have been camping a Seashore for 13 years. Started with a popup, along side of friends and family for several years. Then 7 years ago our friends purchased a permanent site and we continued to come for at least one full week every year. We visit others parts of the country but always come back to Seashore because it feels like home. Last year we purchased a permanent site and enjoy coming most weekends. This campground has a wonderful, friendly, helpful staff who are very interested in making your stary memoriable. Each year we return we see improvements to the facility. We plan on making Seashore our second home for many years. Our adult children now bring their children and the tradition continues. I'm very grateful to have Seashore Campgrounds as part of my life.

My husband, daughter (13) and myself went on a 3 day camping trip with 2 other families who also have young teen children. We also had 2 dogs with us. We all had a great time!
The sites were large with plenty of shade. The rest rooms were clean and there were laundry facilities throughout the campground. One complaint is the water pressure in the showers isn't very strong. You pay 25 cents for less than 5 minutes of weak water pressure.
Other than the shower, everything was great! The kids went off on there own and no one worried about them. Seashore Campsites has a really nice family envoronment. Everyone was very friendly. There was a movie every night by the pool, a large store and a lake with a small beach. The lake has a great slide in it! There are many things to do in the game hall and plenty of daily activities run by the staff.

Overall, this capground is a great place for families. I will be back next summer!
