“Not worth the money!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2004

This hotel is not worth the money you spend to stay here. The rooms have a musty odor and it is very far from the center of town. When my husband and I reserved for this hotel, we reserved a "Deluxe King" and with research from the internet, their website showed pictures of a large room. When we arrived, we came into a very small and claustrophobic room with a small bathroom, tiny TV and a tiny fridge. I went to the owners and complained that I was very dissappointed that I paid a lot for a room and I received a tiny hole in the wall. She then showed us a suite that had two rooms and a kitchen, but did not have an ocean view (that was the same price of my original reservation). That room was nice and quiet, but the room had a musty odor and the blankets were not washed. The hotel was also a good walk to the center of town. I will definately come back to Cape May, but I will find another place to stay! SO.....BEWARE!!

We have spent several overnights and also week-long vacations at the Sea Creast and have loved it every time. The owners take personal interest in your satisfaction with your stay. This seems to cater to couples and there are not a lot of children - so it tends to be quiet at night - The location encourages an easy 4-5 block walk to the down town area, but is also across from the beach so you can see and hear the ocean.

We have been coming ( every September ) to the Sea Crest for over a decade now. We have always had a great time, Erma and Bela are gracious hosts. Kathy ( one of the house keepers ) is always cheerful and friendly. The sea crest has great Sun Sets ( View from the upper floors) and a view of lighthouse. We always stay in the Ocean Front efficiencys ( Frig and Stove ). Rooms are clean, location is away from the noiser part of beachfront. Beach is right across street. For first time guests be aware that some rooms do not have a view !

first time we stayed there it was off season and it was nice enough tho the rooms are run down. on a return trip we were sold a VERY expensive room over the phone (told it was the only rate available that season..who knew) only to find less expensive and more to our need rooms were available. the woman was selling them right in front of me to walkins while telling me my 275.00 room was the only one available.
( we were only staying one night & she was pushing an apartment type setup). she was very nasty to us and another couple also trying to figure out why she was over pricing thier room too. there is no effort at all to help or please a guest at this place and even beyond that treats the guest as an bother. and it is a shame because it is located nicely in front of the ocean. they fooled us once but never again.

We have been to the Sea Crest for at least 7 out of the past 10 summers. This motel is mostly for adults and is quite relaxing. It is very clean, well-staffed and the grounds are kept very pretty. Erma runs a tight ship ! The pool is also nice. However, it has gotten so expensive, we can no longer afford to go there. It's a darn shame.

The SeaCrest has an extreamly well trained and accomidating staff. The property and its caretakers are a fine representations of Southern New Jersey, and a role model as what all have come to expect when staying in this sea-side resort. The SeaCrest is a very clean and well mantained property. The always helpful young man named Robert at the front desk along with his assistant will make your stay a pleasant experience. Special note: You will always find a comfortable chair around the pool and endless conversation with Erma and Albert. Yetsak Hassan

I enjoyed my stay at the Sea Crest Motor Inn. The staff were very pleasant, and the rooms were also very nice! I do plan to stay there again.
