This is the second year my family has stayed at the Carroll Villa. It is hands down the best place to stay if your coming with kids. The room was immaculate, the rugs were all new, and there was plenty of room for my whole family.
The food at the Mad Batter was delicious! We had breakfast there every morning and one night had a delicious dessert. We had the same waiter (Tom) both years and he is an asset to the establishment. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient!
We plan on returning to the Carroll Villa for years to come!

The Carroll Villa is a nice establishment in the heart of Cape May. You can walk to shops and other attractions without moving your car. This is important because parking is scarce. Additionally, the food is very good (breakfast and dinner). However, there are some things you must be mindful of when staying here. Room 1 is designated a queen size room, but it is small. Room 9 is much bigger. There are no toiletries at this establishment besides a dispenser. Bring your own lotion. The carpet needs to be updated in the common areas and in the rooms. The bed was comfortable, but the mix of old and new decor in room 1 was not my favorite. I would return again, but not without a deal. This place is overpriced at the normal rate. Finally, no real lobby exists for socializing or relaxing. This was also a minus, especially if you like to relax in the lobby.

We needed a little getaway to relax and get in the holiday spirit....our stay at Carroll Villa was just what we needed! Staff at the hotel were very accommodating.....we had dinner and breakfast at the Mad Batter Restaurant - the lobster bisque was phenomenal! The Villa provided a 30% discount on dinner, and a $30 dollar credit for breakfast - food and service were excellent! We enjoyed the winter wonderland of Cape May - took a carriage ride to take in all the holiday lights....walked on the promenade Saturday morning - a glorious sunny day! Nothing better than being in Cape May and near the beach in December! Even though our stay was overnight, it felt like a full weekend away! We will be returning!

such a cute bed and breakfast. very clean and very quaint. love the mad batter resturant and bar too which is located right on the first floor. cheap happy hour! def check it out for your next cape may trip!
