“A Diverse Aquarium”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

Don't be turned off by the location. This is a gem of an aquarium. I haven't been to the Baltimore aquarium (yet), but I have been to a couple of other aquariums in different states, and this has been my favorite so far. We made a special trip to Camden just to go to this aquarium, and I can see why people who are from out-of-town might be a bit turned off by the location, but the aquarium is nice and fairly clean and is right by the water. We noticed a wedding party was at the aquarium, too.

With our maps in tow, we set out to see everything that we could. It took us about two hours, including an extended time gazing at the shark tank. There's a lot to see. We didn't go to any shows. We also didn't buy any of the overpriced food. If you don't like going places that have a lot of screaming children, then you might want to skip this on the weekends. There were children all around, and often they would try to push their way to the front of the exhibit, without even saying a word to you. Any of the staff that I had contact with were nice and helpful.

There's plenty of fish, a small seahorse tank, some unique aquatic creatures, multiple shark tanks, a couple of hippos, barely any birds, some outdoor African penguins, and the well-known and well-loved petting tanks. The shark tunnel seemed a bit smaller than others that I've been to, but maybe it was just because we hurried through certain parts because we were surrounded by numerous strollers and screaming kids.

As an adult there's still plenty to enjoy. I went in with an open mind and left completely satisfied. Kids will LOVE it and they will learn, too.

“It is getting better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

The Adventure Aquarium has never measured up to Baltimore,or Boston's Aquarium's, but it is getting better. Over the past four years I have seen better and more exhibits introduced I hope they keep up the improvements

“Wonderful attraction”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

We enjoyed the many varieties of creatures they featured, including an outdoor penguin enclosure, numerous hands-on touch experiences, hippo tank, and an amazing 40 ft shark tunnel where you walk through the bottom of one of the large tanks and can see the creatures from a new perspective. Great for kids of all ages.

“not all the sharks are in the tank”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

If your dad is not Jacques cousteau then this is the best experience you can have with fish apart from eating it.The word stunning doesn't do it justice and i don't think any aquarium is ever going to come close to this is baby.I mean you can even go swimming with the sharks and i mean proper sharks not constipated dogfish with weight issues . However when we left having arrived by taxi i had to walk through a dodgy neighborhood where a gun would have been handy. Still it all adds to the experience -don't just sit there visit it

“Clean and fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Great aquarium, lots to do for kids, but expensive and a little hard to get to. I decided to take a cab, but the fare was expensive because of crossing into New Jersey. While at the aquarium the attractions were easy to navigate through. It was clean and nicely kept. The admission and food there was very expensive, but overall a nice trip.
