We stayed here overnight to attend a family function nearby. The place is new so the facilities looked good. However, we had two problems. First, we checked in late at night and the night desk clerk was less than friendly. Second, while we had a non-smoking room, it was located in a smoking corridor and the hall reeked of cigarette smoke.
Our room was excellent (no cigarette smell at all) and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever sleep on. The rest of the room was lovely. However, every time I opened the door, the cigarette smell was over-powering.
I would have said NOT to stay here except for the excellent response by manager Donatelli. I completed a follow up survey from Sierra Suites, listing the problems. Mr. Donatelli contacted me directly to apologize and ask for more details. He also refunded my money, which I didn't even ask for! Obviously, this manager really cares about his guest's satisfaction.
I would recommend staying here again - just check that your non-smoking room is NOT in a smoking corridor. As for the desk clerk, I am sure Mr. Donatelli dealt with him.
