“Fantastic food, but very noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

The only things keeping this from being 5 stars are the noise and the somewhat inattentive service. Due to the high winds, we ate inside where it is sooooo noisy. I had to work extra hard to hear what the rest of my party was saying. I was partially hoarse the next day from talking loud enough for the others to hear me. Our waiter was very helpful in guiding us during ordering, but we didn't see him again until it was time for dessert. Fortunately, the food was so good that there was nothing we needed him for -- but it would have been nice if he (or anyone) came by to see how we're doing. Our waters were refilled once. Now for the food. We ordered the Capesante Crostate (pan seared jumbo scallops) and Chilean Sea Bass al Pistachio, among other entrees. Every dish was completely clean at the end -- no one left anything over since the food was so delicious. The desserts were also as good. The Italian cheesecake could be just a little moister, but I prefer it grainy over creamy. The wine list is varied enough to find something that everyone will enjoy. Overall, it was a wonderful evening, despite the noise. I will gladly return, but probably on a calm, nice evening where we can sit outside.

“Good Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

My husband and I headed down to the beach for a day trip. After sitting on the beach for two hours, the sun went in and the cool breeze started to make us shiver. We decided to find someplace nice for a late lunch and then head home. We usually pack a lunch, so we were not sure where to go. We rode on Main Street from Bradley Beach to Belmar and spied the nice looking restaurant from the road. We were able to get the first parking spot on the side street next to the restaurant. We chose to eat in the outside area facing the ocean. Nice table with real cloth napkins, in other words not a dive. My husband and I shared mozzarella meatball sliders and a Chicken Tuscan sandwich with mozzarella cheese, roasted peppers and drizzled balsamic vinegar dressing, both came with fries. We both loved the sandwiches. The fries were very tasty, not your average fries. I also had pasta fagilio soup. The ladies next to us were singing the praises of their meals too. We were very glad that we stopped here. This place had a decent crowd for a Tuesday. We stopped inside to go to the bathroom and it was nice inside too. It was happy hour at the bar. People were enjoying drinks and appetizers. We would happily eat here again. Our bill was $35 dollars which we though was worth it since the meal was delicious and you can't beat the view of the ocean.

“delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

We were able to walk to the restaurant from our b&b, The Inn at the Shore. The staff was friendly, and accommodated our 6 year old daughter nicely. The food was terrific. Tilapia with crabmeat was great!
