“Amazing Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2015

My husband and I went here for our Anniversary. It was the best meal I've had in ages. The dinner courses were incredible and fresh and the drinks were great! The view along the river was beautiful. The train stopped at the bridges to enjoy the view. Will definitely be returning for another special occasion!

“Best meal in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2015

The dinner train is pricy but worth it. The novelty of riding the rail while dining is a great experinece. The food is outstanding with a fabulous presentation. Much attention is paid to detail. My favorite place to go in Lincoln, saved for special occasions.

“Great dinner, service, and changing views.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2015

Hmm, really? Only 5 stars? Where is the WHOA THIS IS MORE than 5 stars review?

If you like trains and riding, and you like great food with great service, then this place is for you! This is the restaurant on wheels with the EVER changing view. They even have external lights on the train for viewing the scenery at night.

I know, you saw the price and thought, WOW that's expensive! Nooooo, it's not. When you enjoy the scenery, the experience on the train, the ambiance, and the company....you'll know this is a special treat! and well worth what is a small cost for what you get.

The food? Wow, where do I start? The dinner roll was BIG and VERY tasty.

Suggest you save some of it for later and mop up duty for any sauces.

The appetizer? Highly recommend the smoke salmon plate. Ever thought your nose was in the smoker as you tasted great salmon? You will here. My sister had the stuffed tomato with lamb and rice, and that was awesome as well.

The salad? Perfection! Great combo of flavors and the dressing was just enough.

The sorbet? yeah, nice raspberry sorbet to cleanse the palette before the main course arrived.

The main course? I had the beef and pork and my sister had the cordon bleu. Both were tremendous!

Dessert? Nice selection of key lime pie, chocolate eclair and death by chocolate cake. Couldn't finish it as we were already full.

Drinks? I had Sam Adams Summer Ale, and my sister had Iced Tea.

Was a great trip meeting everyone on the train, the waiters and waitresses (owners and staff) were all excellent.

I will be back.

Says it's Evening Casual attire, but they aren't going to turn you away in your shorts and sandals.

Reservations are recommended as they only seat 160 and some seats are not good for larger people (I requested a regular seat table and not a booth).

Parking is free.
