“More than lobster.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

Nice place to bring the family. Very casual, noisy, but in a good way. Nice, large, sports-type bar for the adults. Excellent fish and steaks but sometimes they don't even have whole lobster on the menu. They do some pretty good Italian food also. Outdoor dining, especially on the upper deck, is a lot of fun in season. Service is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Oh, and on Monday nights during the winter, EVERYTHING on the menu (including drinks) is half price!! Get there early as it is always crowded.

“Great Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

The food at the Lobster Pound is very tasty, the presentation of the food on the plate was amazing. The food portions are normal but the size of the haddock on the Fishermans combo is huge. We found the wait staff is very friendly and polite. We have been their several times and have never had a bad experiance. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We will continue to eat at the Lobster Pound. As far as pricey well good seafood is expensive so if you are looking for cheap then i suggest you go to MacDonalds for seafood.

“If you can get served its not bad”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

I had heard a lot about this place. They have some great local bands that play and the food is supposed to be good. We went in and took a seat. It was in the winter so not much going on in the lakes region. There was a bartender on duty and two waitresses. At the bar was one couple and then the three of us that sat down. They all stayed and talked for at least 20 minutes before finally asked if someone could come over to take a drink order. The service was horrible. I only ordered a burger and it was good. No complaints about the food just the service.

“expensive and not tasty”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Despite the fact that ambiance is above average, I have to say that their food is rather very expensive for what it tastes. The portions are generous, but the quality is less desirable, I left the place still hungry. I will not go back.
