“Good location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2010

This is a nice place to stay near the lake. The only thing I really didn't like about staying here was that you needed to cross the street to get to the beach. The road is very busy, so I really didn't like that. The beach is very nice, and there is a boat launch with docks for rent. The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean. We went to the pool each night, and it was not crowded. Most of the time, we were the only people there, which was nice! It's very close to the outlets for people who like to shop!

We were looking for a one-night vacation in the Lakes Region. This small but recently renovated hotel was an excellent value. Best part was private beach with free canoes, paddleboats and rowboats. New deck with BBQ available. Continental breakfast was adequate. Pool recently renovated - with jacuzzi. Game room old but adequate. A little dark and dingy, but overall we would definitely return.

Recently stayed at the resort with my girlfriend and had a very nice time. Loved the renovated pool & jacuzzi. The resort is very clean. Mary K. is a very sweet wonderful woman and was kind enough to give my parents, girlfriend, and I a tour and share family photos with us. The food was excellent as was the service. The staff is very courteous & friendly. I would highly recommend and would stay there again.
Sincerely,
SPH- Meredith, NH

We go to the ice fishing derby every year . This hotel has a great pool and hot tub! Very large. The hotel is older so things are outdated but the rooms are clean and decent sized. We have stayed here 2 years now and really enjoy it. There is a lounge downstairs with food. It's pretty decent but they had kareoke the night we were there and we had a blast. Looking forward to next year.

I thought that the pool was really nice. The bedding however was really old and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel for the price either.

We were in the Lakes area just overnight and stopped at the Shalimar Resort. Rooms were decent but nothing beyond a basic motel room. Clean, although the carpet had seen better days! Bathroom was acceptable, tiny bit of mildew in tub area but nothing to freak out about.

Beach area (which we didn't use at this time of the year) is across a busy highway, but very picturesque. Indoor pool appeared very well maintained and is BIG. Free use of canoes, kayaks, etc at the lakeside.

I think my main problem with the property is the value perceived (we paid just under $100) coupled with the noise all night long. Doors didn't seal out hallway noise at all and the pipes had all kinds of interesting noises every time the toilet or sink was used! LOL
