“Don't Leave Stuff Behind!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

Our recent stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Tilton was great. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet satisfying.

However, we left behind a bag with some fairly expensive, and unfortunately, irreplaceable things which couldn't be located by the time I missed them and called. The jewelry was from a now deceased family member and the sentimental value worth way more htan the items themselves.

So it really put a damper on our experience (to say nothing of the expense of replacing my camera and equipment!).

As a HIlton Honors Gold member, I stay in a large number of Hilton-branded properties in the course of a year. Unfortunately, there is a fair amount of quality variation in Hampton Inns, and some of their older properties have become very dated and leave a good deal to be desired in terms of room size, overall condition, and technology.

The HI&S in Tilton NH is five years old and still in mint condition, thanks to excellent management and building maintenance. The suites are relatively large and very comfortable. The climate control system was efficient and quiet. Wi-fi reception is excellent and the TV system has the largest assortment of HD channels I have ever encountered in a Hilton property, including all of the major Boston, Portland, NH, and cable stations. Housekeeping is outstanding, as it is at most Hilton-branded properties. Because of the relatively remote location, attractively low room rates are available a good deal of the time.

The front desk staff seems pleasant and helpful. We had been assigned an upgrade to a suite in advance of our arrival without even having to ask, a sure sign of a classy, guest-friendly operation. The breakfast consisted of the usual HI fare, although it was much more carefully prepared and served than at many other HI properties. If I had to find a single nit to pick, it would be that the pastries were the standard shrink-wrapped commercial assortment. Management might want to take a clue from a few other properties and out-source their pastries from the excess production capacity at the local Dunkin' Donuts outlet.

Nice Hampton Inn of the standard expected. Nice room, quite large, all the exepected amenities in god condition. Staff helpful and friendly, lots of on-site aprking, good internet and reasonable fitness room. Location pretty quiet and an outlet mall a few blocks away and a few restaurants / diners / bars fairly near. I would recommend Chicago Uno bar and grill, really good.

I was spending my family vacation in NH, in conjunction with my 40th birthday. After some miscommunication about renting the meeting room, I conceded my request to another guest. In return, the staff worked with me to accommodate my needs and make the situation as positive as possible. We had an awesome stay. The hotel is clean. The food is good. And, the staff is accommodating: we were able to take our daughter swimming at 8 AM even though the pool opened at 9 AM. A great Hampton, for sure!

Room Tip: Rooms 128 and 130 are the only rooms near the pool (directly across). They are VERY quiet. Room 128...

This Hampton Inn was obviously very new. It was super clean, modern, & well maintained. The location was great, very close to everything including the outlets. The bed was super comfy and the room was spacious. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee & tea available 24hrs a day. They had delicious cookies at check-in and there were many options at breakfast. We will definitely stay here again :-)

Close to skiing, snowmobiling, many restaurant choices etc. Clean rooms, friendly staff, good value. As a Hilton Honors member, it's nice to have an option in this area of New England and while it's not gourmet, the free breakfast adds to the value.

Very nice. Hampton Inn quality, cleanliness and comfort. Heater was loud and since we like it cool we hit the "off" button but, for some reason, it still occasionally came on (Room 308). Stayed here to ski at Ragged Mountain in Danbury, about a 40 - 45 minute ride up 93 to exit 23W. Breakfast is great. Staff is friendly. Will be here again, I'm sure.
