“An event”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

OK, so this is one of those places where going there is an event - one of those things you "have to do" if you are in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It is practically in the middle of nowhere but has been there for so long that everyone - both locals and vacationers - knows where it is. Going there is part of the vacation experience. And of course, they have a store, with plenty of "Polly's Pancake Parlor" paraphernalia.
Like many such "must do" experiences though, there is often some degree of disappointment. Besides, just how good can a pancake be? I found the food itself to be average and the prices a little high for basic breakfast food, even taking into account the real maple syrup.
Do go there (once) for the fun of it and so you can say that you've been there. Take home some Polly's Pancake Parlor Pancake Mix so that you can reminisce in the comfort of your own kitchen.

“Best pancakes I've ever had!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Food was absolutely delicious and service was quick and efficient. They had a lot of maple products to put with your order and a wide variety of pancake choices. Their bacon was out of this world. It must have been maple bacon. It was cooked perfectly and thick cut. If tou are in the area its definitely worth driving a bit out of the way to get here. Plus, the view is breath taking.

Be careful about their hours. They close for the winter.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

We visited Polly's on a beautiful fall weekday.

My husband had been talking about trying Polly's pancakes for months.

We had to wait a while for a table, no problem. We had to share a table, no problem either.

The thing I didn't like was the gruff service and the feeling you were being herded through as more people arrived. The pancakes were nice, but we had better in Boston.

We drove out of our way to go there, but I wouldn't suggest anyone do the same.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

We absolutely love Polly's! We have never had a bad experience and have been going there for many years. It is our #1 place for us to go for Breakfast and we always recommend it to friends that come into our area. Ps, the views are fantastic too!!

“Visit with sister”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

My wife and I were visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Lisbon and enjoyed breakfast at Polly's all three days we were there! Fantastic view of the White Mountains in a quaint dining room with exceptional service from locals who make you feel welcome and valued. Phenomenal breakfast choices including the obvious pancakes with so many other selections. Polly's daughter Nancy still frequents the restaurant and willingly shares the history of the restaurant as well as her appreciation of your patronage. We have been eating at Polly's every time we visit the North Country for over 20 years now and look forward to our next visit!
