Description: The Restaurant at Sunset Hill is an award winning Chaine des Rotisseurs Restaurant with 7 Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence. Under the direction of internationally acclaimed Chef de Cuisine Brill Williams, you'll enjoy classics and local products, and the best views in New England. Of course virtually everything we offer is made in house and prepared to order (with the exception of a few desserts which are made by a wonderful pastry chef!). The quality of such painstaking work is evident from Chef's incredible sauces and soups, to our hand-trimmed meats. The Restaurant at Sunset Hill offers a la carte and prix fixe ($52 for 5 courses) menus 6 days a week (daily during summers and holidays). Guests rave about our food, are amazed by the view, but the thing they comment on most is the caring service. There is no pretension here at Sunset Hill - just 'real people' who care about your experience. For more casual fare, try our New Hampshire Tavern - a great place to relax!

“Amazing Food!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2012

We stayed at the B&B and had dinner here one night. The food was amazing!! My husband had the duck and he said it was the best he's ever had! Everything from the apps/salads to the desert was absolutely delicious. The dinning room is quiet and the servers provide you with plenty of attention. It's great for a romantic night out. We will go back on our next visit to Sugar Hill, NH.

“fantastic”

Genuinely caring service defines this great restaurant in the Sunset Hill House inn. The food is delightful - local products and New England flavors, with an award winning wine list to set it off. The view, of course, cant be beat. We enjoyed our drinks on the deck overlooking the White and Green Mountains (its shady there, so very comfortable), then in the restaurant at Sunset Hill for the 6 course innkeeper's table. The Haddock with a very light, bright lemon sauce was in off the boat from Maine that day and exquisite. And the maple bread pudding was the best i'd ever imagined. I understand they make everything except their rolls from scratch, and it shows. Back to the service. Professional, but not at all pretentious. We were on vacation, and felt relaxed and well cared for. I love this place. Prices are reasonable - I'd easily pay 50% more for the same meal in Boston or New York so it seemed like a bargain at $52pp for 6 courses. I understand they also have a banquet facility separate from the main restaurant, and a private dining room as well for small parties.

“Not worth it”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2010

The meal started nicely enough with an amuse-bouche of olive tapenade and crackers. The bread tasted fine but not ultra fresh. Butter was whipped and nicely presented in a small dish. Then the salads came. Endive and field greens with poached pears, walnuts and goat cheese - 4 endive leaves, about a 1/4 c. of greens, 2-3 pebble size pieces of pear -had to look very hard for them - a couple of scattered crumbs of walnut and not more than 1/4 oz of goat cheese. I had the filet mignon, which was excellent, but the reduction sauce was a bit too salty and the sides were uninspired -a small lump of cooked julienne carrot, 1 piece of steamed broccoli and some very buttery potato pieces. My husband had the ratatouille and goat cheese ravioli which was very salty. No desert or coffee. Just decided to do that back at our house.

“DInner was a Waste”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2008

For a claimed "charming" country inn, the Coca-Cola machine at the front door should have been enough of a warning. The property was worn and shabby. The dinner we had planned as a splurge was a terrible meal with a price tag of $75 per person. My meat was well-done when ordered as medium-rare, the rice was not fully cooked, the "carpaccio" was sliced, cooked filet. To end the meal a cat walked into the dining room and to the kitchen. The view was lovely but in no way worth the money or the meal.
