We got a tremendous deal on this resort through Groupon. We had never heard of it before. We arrived at the resort around 5pm on a Friday and we were greeted by extremely friendly staff at the reception desk. Upon going to our room (newer location in the same building as the pool) we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. Everything was extremely clean, well maintained, and had everything you needed to enjoy the comforts of home, away from home. We had 2 families so we stayed in a unit that slept 8. The master suite was located upstairs, away from the general living area and had its own double sink vanity, bathroom, shower and sunk in whirlpool tub. A spiral staircase lead down to the main living area which contained another very large full bath, bedroomw ith 2 queen beds and a very spacious sectional sofa that was also a pull out sleeper. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The kitchen was loaded with everything you would need (mixing bowls, cookie sheets, paper towels, detergents, etc) which made it so easy for us to prep the dinners that we brought with us. Upon arrival we headed right to the pool. The kids (ages 4, 7, 11, 12, 14) had an absolute blast in the pool. The large waterslide and huge pool were great. The pool area also has 2 hot tubs (one large one and one very tiny one). Either way both were very enjoyable. There is also a kiddie pool area...complete with "mushroom" sprinkler and mini slide. When my 4 year old grew tired of walking back up the stairs for the "big" slide, he retired to the kiddie pool since that slide was much faster to get to :) The game room was adequate, with air hockey, car racing video game and a pool table. The upstairs game area has 2 large screen TV's with XBox Kinect and 2 ping pong tables that we thoroughly enjoyed. The bar area near the pool was nice...small and quaint but we were able to snack on nachos and watch the football game. They do, however begin to close up around 9pm and close completely at 10 when the pool is closed. If you want to go to the other "lounge" area, you need to get in your car and drive across the street. We took full advantage of the two sledding hills located on the property. The kids and adults had a wonderful time sledding (rather quickly) down each of the hills. We opted not to go to the local ski resort for tubing, instead enjoying the grounds of the resort. The housekeeping staff were wonderful and although we didn't have them clean our room while we were there, they stopped by and provided us with fresh towels, soaps, shampoos etc. There was not one time throughout the weekend that I didn't see someone from housekeeping or the maintenance staff present at the resort. The only feedback I could provide was 1) the condensation buildup in the pool area was collecting on the metal beams above us. While sitting in the smaller hot tub, huge drips of grease and rust where dropping into the small hot tub, most times hitting us depending on where we were sitting. The water had a yellowish tinge from the rust dripping in the water. 2) The second bedroom that had the 2 queen beds didn't have a TV in it...granted, there was one in the living room right next door, but trying to get a few kids to settle in and allow the adults some relaxing time before heading to bed is much better when there is a TV that they can watch age appropriate shows on. We did end up sending them upstairs to the master, and had to wake them and carry them back downstairs at bedtime. A wonderful stay, exceeded our expectations - the place never looks like it does in the pictures once you get there...well, this one did for sure. Hope to get another great deal and return again next year!

What a great family vacation. Our job is to be the backdrop for smiling family photos. I always tell the staff, the more photo albums we get in the better we are doing our job. In this case it sounds like you guys really enjoyed your time. The Groupon deal has been a great way for us to introduce new people to the resort. We are happy you enjoyed your first impression.

Between the big pool and the sledding hills it sounds like the kids had plenty of activities to keep them happy. Hopefully you were able to sneak in a few runs on the sled yourself. I understand the condensation issue with the pool area. We did have a problem with the dehumidifier unit for the large glass atrium, but we are actively working to get things fixed.
Thanks again for staying with us. Hopefully your families will get a chance to return again in the future.
