“Menu is adequate”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

We visited the restaurant soon after it opened. There was a waiting line to enter. The menu was breakfast and lunch items. Unfortunately, most of the food on the menu had salt in it, so it only allowed us to choose one item, a hamburger. The hamburger was good size and tasty.

“Best new diner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

Hometown diner on rt. 119 and rt. 202 in Rindge, NH has my vote for a great new diner recently opened last fall. The prices are reasonable, great portions, easy to get too! Nice drive up route 119 for breakfast or lunch opening for dinner in April, it's what diner food should be, plus there is plenty of parking. Try it this weekend for a good meal !

“pretty good breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

Mom and I stopped for a late breakfast today. We got one of the few remaining tables. The service was prompt. The pancakes were huge and tasty, the bacon was good and mom's Texas French toast tasted good but the slices looked thin (for Texas style). The average person would need to order the 3 slices, not 2. The one thing that turned me off had to do with butter pkgs. I didn't see any so I asked the waitress. She pointed at a dish on the table with only 3 pkgs. in it. The first two I peeled back had already been used--yuck! I would go back again if in the area. The person that I think may have been the owner or manager told me that in the spring they will be opening for dinner also. The prices were about the same as everywhere else. If offered, I would have chose 3 1/2 stars-4 being generous.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

Standard diner fare and twice the price! I guess you are paying for the sign. It's a couple dollars more than at any other breakfast or lunch place you can eat at in the region. A bit cramped and noisy but that's to be expected at a diner...but really it's a faux diner.
