“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

Very pricey, I purchased a living social voucher for the seven course meal for two. We ordered one drink each and the total bill was $110.00. That was the price before the tip. This is a special occasion place to eat, clearly, however if your money smart or savvy you will save your money and learn to cook. I can feed a family of four for a week on what we spent in one night even with the living social deal.

“Pricey, but worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Worth it just for the experience of eating a wonderful medium rare veal chop in a brilliant sauce -- one of the tastiest things I have eaten in a while.

My family was unsure about it when we first arrived. Their traditional Italian food favorites were not on the menu. But their worries were banished with the first taste of the culinary masterpieces the very friendly server brought to our table.

Abandon your preconceived notions of Italian food and go with the experience, you won't be sorry!

Save room for dessert, too!

“An eating event”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

Plan for a wonderful meal, tastes and service. We were initially taken aback that the staff and clientele were very dressed up and mature. We were warmly welcomed none the less as we simply dressed nicely, but nothing special. We often worry of over ordering, but every spec was eaten at every gate by all. That was due to the quality and execution. Pace is very important to us and we prefer too slow to too fast. This was definitely slow as we needed two and a half hours for appetizer, entree and dessert. This food is so yummy we need more and faster ! About $75 ahead it was worth the experience, but only for the most special occasion. Make sure you all go with plenty to talk about between courses.

“Sorry...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013 via mobile

They won't take a reservation without a credit card. Sorry. Your food was not that good. Many other great restaurants in Portsmouth. And being a meeting planner, I will bring my business elsewhere.
