I went on a busy Friday night, and the brewery was packed. Very noisy. I had to lean across the table to hear my friend. Constant stream of people passing by our table; I was actually surprised to see so many families. And, the table is iron so has a very unique (some might say similar to blood) smell. That kind of bugged me the entire meal.
The beer selection is huge. I ended up getting a sangria but my friend bought 2 Wits and loved the flavor. My guess is the beer is the huge draw. I liked the fact that you could see into the brewery. The decor throughout the restaurant was pretty neat; if you get a chance, be sure to check out their unique restrooms.
The menu wasn't terribly extensive. And it was a bit pricier than I usually like. I ended up getting the Friday special (sage pork kabobs) and it was just okay. I loved the little risotto pies that came with it. My friend got the vegan sausage and enjoyed it. We split the coconut cream pie dessert (complete with home-made mocha gelato). It was all right- you're getting the picture, nothing really blew me away about the place.
Service was super slow. I thought they'd forgotten about us a few times, but as I said, it was packed. It took over ten minutes to get a glass of water and my friend's second Wit though and that's pretty slow. Our waiter was nice, and I could see him working every table in our area so I know he was busy. I wouldn't go if I were in a hurry (not that I was, but you never know). Would I go back? Eh.... maybe. I think I'd like to try them in the afternoon on a boring weekday rather than the Friday before the long weekend complete with a blue moon.
