“Wonders of nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Beautiful walk through the Lost River Gorge. The caves were interesting to see. The paths are easy to walk on but if you want to explore the caves, make sure you wear shoes with a grip and clothes that can get dirty, as you often crawl into the caves. A lot of fun.

“great family daytrip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip the Lost River and looking forward to going back next year. The scenery is beautiful. The grounds are well cared for. The caves are fun and each one is a new adventure. Went with 4 and 8 yr old and both loved it. If you r not into kids everywhere then u will love this place, while there were kids, everyone was spaced out enough that you hardly notice them. It really is peaceful.

“Beautiful scenery in the White Mountains”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

The Gorge is a walk over bridges and climbing up and down stairs following Lost River, a small but dramatic river. There are times where you have choices to take the easy way or a difficult way where you have to crawl or bend. If there is a claustrophobia warning, take it seriously! Cute gift shop too.

“beautiful adventure place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

We visited in mid October on the week the first snow fell on the mountains. It was terribly cold in the gorge but we were prepared. It was worth every minute! The gorge and the caves are great to explore. The area is very well maintained. Certain caves were closed because they were flooded, but we spent a few fun hours exploring and squeezing through some of them. Not advisable if you are claustrophobic. It can be a bit scary to go through these rocks that look like they could crumble on you... But you can bypass the caves if you don't want to go in, and just enjoy the gorge. There is plenty of information on the path and the staff in the shop are very friendly. The views of the White Mountains back at the top are magnificent!

Very fun for the kids and the kids at heart!

“In the lost river I lost 17$......”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Locate 6 miles from north Woodstock, NH, GPS coordinates: 44.037210 ,-71.783815.
The attraction is walking on a wood trail down to the river which twist between
rocks and caves, some falls, all done by the nature forces.
It’s mile long and takes 30-50 minutes.
The ticket office and entrance is thru souvenirs store. Next to the store there are some equipments for children to play/simulate in mining and find treasure
Nice but not worth 17$ unless your interesting in geological phenomenon.
Near by there are 2 – 3 trail to walk
