I drove up there on my motorbike and had a great stay there. Very nice people who make you feel at home. The breakfast is stunning and the area is breath taking. The room is excellent and so is the bed. A huge compliment to the family who runs it.

Thank you for your compliments! I am glad you enjoyed your stay at our inn.
All the lovely back roads through the forests and mountains make New Hampshire such a wonderful region for riding.

We have traveled to this region before. This is one of the best B&B we have found.
Rosanna is a wonderful hostess and tour guide. Michael keeps the inn in excellent shape and makes an outstanding breakfast. The setting is everything I would expect.

We stayed at the Wilderness Inn for our 43rd anniversary. It was pleasant and comfortable, and even though you are right next to the town of Woodstock the Inn gives you the feel of being in a remote location. This makes your stay romantic and fun.
Michael and Rosanna are wonderful hosts they are friendly and make you feel right at home.
Also. the crepes are the best I have ever had . Bravo, Michael!

Congratulations on your 43rd Anniversary! It is well worth celebrating! And it is an honor that you chose our inn in which to celebrate.

P.s. I will pass on the "Bravo" to Michael.

Thanks again,

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights during a recent New England trip. The inn was quite nice, but it does need to be redone a bit. The inn keepers are quite pleasant and provide a fair amount of information for the area. Dining recommendations were somewhat sparse, but that's because there are very few nice places to eat in the immediate area. Though there are a few eateries within walking distance, they vary between basic and rough. Though the inn is on a main street, it is hardly a highway. Traffic pretty much dwindles to zero by late night, so it was very quite for sleeping. Since their was no air conditioning (or not on), we had windows open and fan on in the evening. This made it pretty pleasant for sleeping. Outside street noise was not an issue at all.
The home made, made to order breakfast was exceptionally good. Omelets, eggs, french toast, also home made muffins. All were very good. Could not have asked for anything better. Only minor issue; no meat of any kind. I think the inn keepers may be vegetarian??
Oh, also the inn is for sale. Things may change, so check to see if ownership has changed.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. You first write the inn needs to be redone a bit, but you do not say how. We would greatly value an email from you directly, with details of how we can improve, and what we may have overlooked. We appreciate all the complimentary comments you mentiion thereafter. To answer your question, we try to make our breakfast heart-healthy serving no meat, though we are not vegetarian. Please send us a note at info@thewildernessinn.com if you would, as your suggestions will help us offer our future guests a more enjoyable stay.

This wonderful B & B is in the town of North Woodstock. A great location for outdoor fun in the beautiful White Mountain Region of NH! Rosanna and Michael were very friendly and interesting hosts. Their place was lovely, spotlessly clean. The breakfast area was my favorite...a closed-in, brightly decorated front porch ...add great coffee, a sensational breakfast and nice music playing in the back ground and ...."That's what I say makes a B & B great!!" Our room was brightly decorated and very cozy... the rooms are decorated in treasures from their travels. We have stayed in Conway, NH in the past which we also loved and did Mt. Washington. We decided to change things up and check out Franconia Notch State Park instead. Franconia Notch Falls and This B & B was a great find a perfect location. Franconia Notch Flume Gorge and Ariel Tramway is a most see. Also be sure you try Woodstock Inn & Brewery for good food and beer! This was a good stop on our motorcycle ride to Maine. NH has really great riding...can't wait to go back!!

Room tip: Stayed in Indian Room...bright and cozy!
