“Very sick from food and will not go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

Went there during first night of visit with friends and were looking forward to good food and relaxation for our party of seven. Three from our party were up very sick during the night from the food which consisted of pulled pork sandwiches, steak, and sweet potatoe ravioli. Very disappointed and will not go back.

, Manager at Woodstock Inn, Station & Brewery, responded to this review, December 6, 2011
I feel very badly that part this group felt that they might have gotten sick as a result of eating with us at the Woodstock Station. However; I am sure that this was absolutely not the case. To think that three different people had three different items, and got sick makes no credible sense. We serve dozens of these same items every day and have had no other complaints. We take pride in serving the highest food quality and following safety standards here at The Inn, with everyone serve safe certified. I can sympathize for these folks but people traveling together often get the same bugs and I sure that was the case for these folks and the fact they were here was just a coincidence.

I have been coming here for years. My family owns a condo in the area and this is our go-to-stop for a beer after hitting the slops or lunch on a warm summer day. The staff is friendly and they always know a lot about everything on the giant menu. My favorite thing to order is the Croute Route Wellington and Spicy Mac & Cheese. The beer selection is great!! I love the White Mountain Weasel Wheat and the Loon Golden Ale. The bar downstairs is a great place to hang out with friends and some of the locals. If you are going for dinner it can get crowded during high season so be prepared to wait for a table.

Stayed here for a night on our honeymoon tour of New England. Very pleasant - generously sized room with enormous bathroom and whirlpool bath.

Ate here several times - nice outside for the evening, and monster breakfasts in the morning.

I also recommend the beer sampler!

We have always enjoyed the restaurant for lunch and dinner and decided to stay at the Inn for a weekend. As expected the food, service, and atmosphere in the restaurant/bar are fantastic. Great local beer, well prepared food, and good service at reasonable prices makes for an enjoyable time. Our room was ok. We were in the house across the street. It was clean and had a homey feel. But the bed was bad - visibly sagging on one side which made for a so-so nights sleep. Also, there was no closet only a clothes rack. However, they installed the TV right next to the rack so you couldn't hang anything up. We had hiked and wanted to dry out our clothes which wound up draped over the TV. We are not TV watchers so it was ok but seems like an oversight in design. Breakfast was included. You were able to order anything off the menu which was great. Food and service excellent again. Overall a good weekend stay in a very central spot - not too expensive but the room needed a new bed. When you add in the ability to walk to the restaurant/bar, it makes for a fun weekend at one of the best little towns in the White Mountains.

Room Tip: The website shows the rooms but it's hard to tell the size and amenities.

After driving the Kancamagus Highway we chose to stay in North Woodstock because according to our guidebook it was supposed to be more charming than Lincoln. Well, if you don’t like chain restaurants, that’s probably true, although we weren’t impressed with North Woodstock either. Woodstock Inn should have been a great choice: with a restaurant and Brewery, we didn’t have to leave our spot. But, for the high foliage price we paid, we expected much much more. Our room in “River view” was just nothing more than “ok”, smelled and felt dusty and was very noisy. Staff was inattentive and at breakfast even plain rude. The brewery with restaurant is fine, although we’ve had much better. All in all we would rather have driven a short distance back to into Lincoln, where there are much more and probably nicer accommodation options.

Love the beer sample board you can order. Great burgers. We eat here often after hiking. It is one of the most popular places to stop into after skiiing, or hiking, so it can get crowded.

This was a really cute, larger, b&b. They have several houses with rooms but all lead back to the main inn which has killer breakfasts and the best brunch i've ever had! We're talking all-you-can-eat of anything you could want! They have live bands on the weekend which are actually good, and don't miss the brewery tour and samples. The service was great and the people are awesome. It's also in a great location for hiking and other attractions nearby.
