“The pools make it fantastic for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

We try to stay at this hotel whenever we visit Story Land. The great outdoor pool combined with a nice indoor pool is the reason. But there are other things we enjoy.

Right by the pool is a fire pit that gets lit at night. This makes it easy to get the kids out of the pool and eat dinner poolside. (There's a pizza place that delivers there or other easy takeout options in area if a grownup does a quick run.) They can warm themselves by fire while eating, then return to the pool.

They have nightly free make your own sundaes. Of course there are a million ice cream places around the corner. By being at the hotel, it allows us to go get the ice cream in our wet bathing suits, then return to the fire pit.

Trying to cram in as much fun to a couple of days as possible, this just makes it convenient.

They also have game time, craft time, and movie times every night. We enjoyed that one year (too busy other years).

The staff is wonderful. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. When we've had any kind of problem, they have been quick to fix.

The kids get free breakfast (adults have to pay). The buffet is very extensive, though quality mediocre.

The rooms are clean and decent looking.

It is inconvenient that there is no separate bedroom. It means lights out for everyone at the same time. And the prices aren't the best.

If you go up during the time of year that you can't make use of the outdoor pool, you might want to price out other options. But even then, most hotels' indoor pools are small in comparison, or feel like you are in a dungeon.

So I guess it really depends on how important the pool is to your family.

This was our second stay at this hotel. Although it started out bad by the front desk not giving us the right room (junior Jacuzzi suite). They were quick to upgrade us to a King Jacuzzi suite which was more than we could ask for. Front desk seems to lacking organization, but like I said if they made the mistake they were quick to make it right. We would definitely stay here again. This Hotel is in a great location to shops and attractions. Rooms were very clean and a lot of amenities in this hotel. Short walk out of the hotel and you are on the door steps of Settlers Green outlet shops.

Room Tip: Do not choose a room close to the elevators, can be very noisy.

Good Hotel in a Great Location, could easily be a great or fantastic hotel if they paid some attention to the details. Wifi isn't strong enough for the number of rooms/guests they have. Ran out of towels at the pool all the time and vending machines for water didn't work. But where it truly matters in a hotel they would get 5 stars. GREAT place to bring your kids. I didn't have kids on this trip but once in your room you don't hear a thing. Comfy beds and pillows, very clean!
Kids movies twice a night 5:30,& 8pm, cookies in the lobby with punch and some kind of social with ice cream (didn't go) all complimentary. Location is awesome. I would definitely stay here again or in any of their sister locations. I'll just bring bottled water and pool towels lol..

Great place for a family & kids. People are very nice and helpful. We stayed in a king suite and it was very roomy. Restaurant in the hotel was great and service was even better. Great location and the best part is that you can walk to the outlets.

We took our grandchildren to Storyland and decided to stay here .This is our 2nd time staying here in the past 4 years, and we still love it. Definitely a great family place, if we were coming up with no children,, although I love it here, probably would pick a different hotel. In addition to the 3 pools, they had nightly activities for the kids,, and movie night at the end of the night was a big hit!! We ate breakfast at the hotel,, (kids eat free, with adult purchasing meal) one day we ordered from the pizza place right in the outlets, they delivered to the outdoor pool, you can see the restaurant from the outside pool, I think it's called Blandi's,, or something similar,, very good, reasonably priced.
Room check in time is 4 pm,, we arrived before 2 pm,, not expecting to get into our room, but just wanted to use the pool area until leaving for Storyland at 3.. Front desk had an available room, and let us check in, which was a very nice surprise...
Room was very clean, staff very friendly,, nothing negative to say at all, everyone had a great time, and we'd definitely stay again.

Room Tip: I would not stay on the first floor leading to the pool/arcade area.. While we adults were quiet,, a...

My husband and I stay here once a year. I like the convenience to the area amenities..mountains, rivers, etc.... Also, you can walk out the front door and shop at the outlets. We have eaten at the restaurant in the past and didnt care for it. The hotel rooms are big enough but the bathrooms are small. If you are a couple looking for a quite weekend do NOT stay here. There are two pools, two jacuzzis and a kiddie pool. From 10-11 pm is supposed to be adult swim. Unfortunately this is not really enforced which we found disappointing. Wifi unreliable and slow. The hotel is clean and the pools and outside space are nice..just don't expect any quiet time here and your good!

This is a great place to stay for either sightseeing or for shopping at the outlets. We found us able to take turns shopping at the outlets wile the other was able to simply walk back to the hotel and let the kids enjoy the great pools. We did some sightseeing but for shopping purposes we left the car in the hotel parking lot the entire time. We didn't eat dinner there but looked great!! Did have a few drinks at night (great service). Breakfast was outstanding!! Plus kids eat free!!!! perfect!!

I'll be honest I NEVER right reviews but felt the need on this one. Staff was well trained and always looking to help.

I WILL BE BACK!!
