The Buttonwood Inn is a real Gem. Situated at the end of a short dirt road, this quiet and elegant farmhouse setting is further enhanced by the genuine warmth that Bill and Paula bring to the enterprise. The buildings and grounds are spotless and the service is impeccable. Bill's knowledge of the surrounding area and restaurants is nothing short of astounding. And Paula's breakfasts are consistently superb.

We selected Buttonwood Inn from the reviews on Trip Advisor and were pleasantly surprised when we drove up to the inn. It's about two miles or so off the main road and is backed up to the woods, so you quickly feel relaxed and can enjoy the beauty of the property without having to be completely away from everything. Bill and Paula have made an extra effort to make sure that their guests have everything they need. The historic home that is in the National Registry of B & Bs is furnished and decorated nicely and our room was very comfortable. Paula is a wonderful cook and we especially loved her oatmeal pancakes. They provided us with recommendations on restaurants and we were not disappointed. We will rave about the Thompson House Eatery in nearby Jackson for a long time because the food and service were outstanding. We visited nearby Mount Washington and Ellis Falls, which were a short driving distance from the B & B. We especially enjoyed a short hike in the woods behind the house after returning from shopping in town. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who will be visiting the White Mountain/Conway area in New Hampshire.

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Buttonwood Inn on MT Surprise in North Conway. Ideally located close to the scenic state parks and the town, the Inn is tucked away in a quiet wooded setting. Most delightful were the hosts, Bill and Paula who provided information about sites and great restaurant recommendations. Serious foodies, we were amazed at delighted at the breakfasts Paula whipped up in the kitchen. How does a fresh fruit medley with raspberry puree sound for starters, The variety of pastries served during tea time was impressive.

My husband and I experienced superb service. We were warmly welcomed as though we were family. Bill and Paula made us feel very much at home.

Our room (#3) was cozy, comfortable, and immaculately clean.

Just a brief ride (less than 5 minutes) off the main highway, we felt as though we were hundreds of miles from civilization. The silence was striking.

We LOVED Paula's breakfasts! So very pleasing to the eye AND the palate!!!

Paula and Bill are the quintessential hosts: warm, caring, welcoming, calm and oh so gracious. I know I will stay at the Buttonwood again.

I highly recommend staying at Buttonwood. My girlfriend and I stayed there for the weekend and loved it. I cannot wait to go back again soon and hit the slopes this winter.

The B&B is gorgeous and our room (#1) was very nice. The grounds are beautiful and include access to a heated pool and hot tub.

Paula makes an amazing breakfast and when we arrived late the first evening there were fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Overall it was a great experience and wonderful place to stay.

We lost track of time while sitting on the front porch. Instead of grabbing a room on the main road in North Conway we looked a little harder and it paid off. Great room and great food, hummingbirds etc,etc,etc....

My family and I had such a great time away at the Buttonwood Inn. Bill and Paula were exceptional hosts and were so attentive to details. Bill asked if any of us had any particular food allergies when we made our reservations and we noticed, that none of the food served during our time with them contained any tree nuts at all, this little detail spoke volumes to us and was just one of the many ways that we felt cared for during our time in the North Conway area. We hope to come back soon with more of our family! We are already recommending them to relatives! You won't be disappointed!
