I hesitate to write this review only out of selfishness. Hidden gems like the Brookhill are becoming few and far between and I want to keep it all for myself! From the moment you arrive you are enveloped in a atmosphere of "welcome home". Take your shoes off, relax by the fire in a robe or your favorite flannel shirt, or take a hot soaking tub and feel the stress peel away. This "feeling" is made possible by the combination of the warm space of your living area, which is very generous, the location, with its wonderful private everchanging view, and the innkeepers, Susan and Rod, who have thought of everything with their special touches to make the stay unique. Its our new home away from home in the "Whites".
Susan and Rod thanks for making our time at Brookhill memorable.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Brookhill B&B is a unique bed and breakfast that is one-half of what was built 82 years ago as a summer studio for a Boston photographer. Its view of Mt. Washington is considered one of the best in New England. It is more like a cottage than a b&b in that it has a private entrance, large living room with a wood-burning fireplace, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom, terrace and gardens. The owners, Rod and Susan, live in the other half of the home and are therefore available and attentive to their guests needs. They serve a hearty home-cooked breakfast at whatever time guests choose. ... more less
