Owner description: The ocean has COME TO New Hampshire! Dive into a tropical adventure with the entire family at Kahuna Laguna, northern New England’s first indoor water park at the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort in North Conway, NH. It’s 40,000 square feet of splash-tacular fun! Zoom through one of four high-speed tubes before splashing into the landing pool below. Body surf in the swirling wave pool. Square off against your friends in an exciting game of water basketball or volleyball. And watch out for the 150-gallon tipping bucket! The whole family will enjoy the activity pool, water cannons and play tower, and your smallest kahunas will have a great time in the shallow pool, an area designed with them in mind. The Tiki Tide Café is ready with a snack or lunch when you need a break. And, the family fun center is the place for the latest arcade games. Red Jacket Mountain View Resort is located on 40 scenic acres in the heart of the White Mountains, with sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding area. The resort features 150 recently renovated rooms, casual family restaurants and fine dining, a full-service spa and trails for hiking or walking.Guests of the resort may enjoy Kahuna Laguna all year, and during the warmer months the new outdoor pool will also be open. In the winter, you won’t even have to step outside to enter our 82-degree tropical oasis in the middle of the mountains – and you’ll have a great view of the valley through the water park’s glass walls.

“A great time for the whole family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

We spent 2 days and 2 nights at this resort and we booked a package where we stayed right at the hotel. The rooms were nice, small, but not too bad for a family of 5. We had a nice little patio outside that we could use if we wanted and the amenities at the hotel were geared towards families. The game room was a big hit and the breakfast buffet was a nice plus!

The water park was good, I wish it had a little more to offer, but we all found something to do during the 2 days we were there. The slides were awesome, my son could not get enough and my 2 girls (4 and 2) loved the water playground and the kids pool area.

I would recommend bringing snacks to the pool area and not to eat lunch there. The prices were very expensive and the selection was poor. We paid almost $40 for a cheeseburger, fries and 2 orders of chicken fingers, not worth it.

Friends from Sweden,

Thank you for your four star review. We are proud to be a place that can entertain the whole family. We will surely share your feedback with the cafe team to make your return dining experience as it should be. Our chef has some great menu additions to reveal for summer! We don't allow outside food or drinks in the park, so let us cater to your needs with some hot meals prepared fresh and delicious!
Thanks again for writing and keeping us as a top rated resort for family quality time!
Alex, Chef , and Crew.

“Fantastic Family Fundraiser”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

The Kahuna Laguna Water Park at the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort was so gracious to accomodate our non-profit the Mt Washington Valley Housing Coalition this past Sunday. The water park fundraising event was a huge success with over 80 families from around the valley coming to enjoy the waterslides, wave pool, children's play area, hot tubs, and all the other fun water activities.

From beginning to end, the event couldn't have gone any better. A huge thank you to Alex Johnson, Pam Sens and the rest of the team at the Red Jacket who made everything run so smoothly.

Many families had been to the water park before, and many others were first time visitors. All of them thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and I'm sure can't wait for the next chance to play at the Kahuna Laguna.

This was the third time visiting for my family who are already planning on going back again very soon.

“Great Time; Great Value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

I spent 6 hours at the Kahuna Laguna with children of varying ages and it was a blast! Great way to spend the afternoon or just a few hours. The staff and lifeguards were very helpful and upbeat; facility was very clean, and the water was wonderful.

“Awesome indoor waterpark”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Take your kids to this really awesome water park with views of the White Mountains around you as you ascend the stairs of the watersides. A great big hot tub to relax in, a wave pool, and more.

Fantastic testimonial, Thank You! You really nailed it with the mention of the breathtaking views from our slide launch picture windows . We are very lucky to be surrounded by such beauty. We have such great seasonal activities but to offer the tropics is quite rare in New England.

“Good if included in a package”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

The water is a bit cold for me, even though they say the pools are 82 degrees. I swim four times per week in a pool that is set for 84 and it seems so much warmer. (I've been twice to Kahuna and both times felt this way.)

If you are staying at the resort, you can use the park and it is a good package deal. I have come in without staying over, and I want to say the fees are about $50 per person. It is outrageous when you look at larger parks like Whale's Tale who charge $35 in peak season and have MUCH more equipment to use. It is fun, but unless it is included in your room rate, I say skip it and head to another water park.

Thank you for your review! We must agree there are some fantastic values in a packaged stay which include water park admission. Our hotel guests definitely benefit from an overnight stay with us.We also have an assortment of children's activities going on resort-wide to add to the value. We have made some improvements to make the climate a bit more consistently comfortable for swimmers.Thank you for admitting we are a fun park. Be our resort guest next time and see what else we have to offer.
Thank you
