There isn't much to see and do inside the visitor's center, but if you're in the area, it's worth half an hour or so to visit. If you're there during fish season, you might get lucky and see the fish traveling on the fish ladder. We visited during the right time, but only saw two or three fish. There are a few other animals to see in the center, and they offer a lot of special activities for families.
There isn't an admission fee, but there is a suggested donation per family, which goes toward keeping the center open.
