My husband, son, and I stayed at the Ash Street Inn during the first week of June. We had never been to New England and had never stayed at a bed and breakfast, but had always wanted to. After research on the internet, we found the Ash Street Inn. It was centrally located and within easy driving distance of the areas that we wanted to visit. We definitely made the right choice! The inn was absolutely beautiful and very well-maintained! We were treated royally! Our rooms and bathrooms had all the amenities and more. Free wifi was also available, along with baskets of snacks in several areas, freshly baked cookies every afternoon, bottled water and soft drinks, and a delicious breakfast every morning. The French toast, pancakes, and omelets were cooked to perfection! Eric, the innkeeper, was very helpful, friendly, and kind. He made sure that all our needs were met. The Ash Street Inn exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back!!

Staying at the Ash Street Inn while I attended a recent conference was a wonderful experience. The inn was immaculate and everything was planned out for a perfect stay. My room on the second floor had a comfortable bed, ample storage space and a great desk for my work computer. The bathroom was totally renovated and beautiful with an amazing corner shower. Everything you could possibly need was provided for, even baskets of snacks in the hallway. I also enjoyed a wonderful selection of coffee and teas with scones and cookies in the dining area in the evenings. The breakfast both mornings I stayed were excellent with a choice of french toast, omelettes or pancakes with a buffet of fresh fruit, yogurts and breakfast breads. What I liked especially about the breakfast was the choices and the simplicity of the selections. Often breakfasts at inns are too over done and choices can be limited but that was not the case at this inn. I did not get much of a chance to relax in the common areas but the parlor looked inviting as well. I appreciated the local transportation to the conference site as I did not have a car for a portion of our visit. I would not hesitate visiting again and my husband and I are already thinking about a return visit to this wonderful inn.

My husband and I stayed at the Ash Street Inn for two nights. I had lived in NH for 3 years and was finally able to bring my husband to Manchester to show him around. The location is great. The Inn is the most beautiful and best renovated one we stayed in during our two-week seventh honeymoon/Fall Foliage Tour. The bed was also the most comfortable one we slept in. Our room and the huge modern bathroom were terrific! Since we had plans to visit and see Manchester on our own, we didn't get much time to interact with the innkeepers. They had a fan per my email request waiting for us in our room and made sure we did not lack for snacks! Eric's blueberry pancakes were wonderful!

  • Liked — The comfort and beauty, the innkeepers' hospitality
  • Disliked — no real dislikes, the first night it was a bit warm for our preference of sleeping in very cool rooms

The inn itself is an attractive Victorian house with plenty of parking. The Inn is a block from the Currier Museum (closed, alas, till 2007) and a 10-minute walk to downtown. Inside, there are lots of prints and paintings and books that make the Inn warm and home-like.

The innkeepers seem to have anticipated our every wish from reservations at an excellent restaurant to fruit, water. coffee, tea and snacks available around the clock. They are obviously experienced at what they do and do it all well.

Our room was comfortable with plenty of drawer space. The bed was triple-sheeted and comfortable. The bathroom is very clean and spacious. The stall shower has built in shampoo, conditioner and gel and the towels are beautiful and large. There are wonderful robes to use. And free, wireless Internet service is provided.

Breakfast is cooked to order and the choice of eggs, or French toast, or buttermilk pancakes with bacon or sausage plus juice and fruit and cereal gets each day off to a happy start.

This is a wonderfully comfortable place to stay.

i was in new hampshire for the nascar race last weekend. sadly i couldn't find a place closer to loudon, and Ash Street Inn seemed like the only option left... however, what a pleasant surprise!!!
the inn is elegant and neat, but also comfortable and inviting!!! snacks and beverages are available all day long, and breakfast is a feast!!! besides, the bathroom is so new and clean that most hotels couldn't even be compared with!!!
most importantly, the innkeepers, eric and darlene are soooo nice, friendly, and very helpful, esp if you're new to this area!!!
btw, the location of Ash Street Inn is about 10 min walk away from Elms, where the restaurats and bars are. very convenient, but also distant enough if you look forward to a quiet night~~~
definitely highly recommended!!!
