The Palace is the only surviving theater in Manchester from the near century-old days.
They have about a dozen different performances per year: plays, music concerts, and other entertainers. Check out their web site for what is playing and when.
I had a horrible experience trying to make reservations at the Wang Theater in Boston years ago. Not only were the tickets over $200, but the good seats were not available even at that price, even six months ahead.
At the Palace, typically, the most expensive seats are usually $40. If you order early enough, you can get front-row center, or anything else you might want.
The shows, themselves are typically not Wang Theater Production quality, but they do very well, and if that is not what you are looking for, this is a fantastic theater experience.
1. You can get free covered parking just around the corner on Nutfield La, (behind Citizen's Bank).
2. If you order tickets on line, there is a per-ticket charge for this at $4.00 per ticket. This charge can be avoided by calling the box office and purchasing the tickets there. The on-line reservation is still useful to see which seats are available for the performance you are interested in.
3. The theater often sells restaurant vouchers for some great restaurants in the area. This is a great way to combine your theater experience with fine dining in town at half price.
