“Kancamagus Motor Lodge is a hidden jewel and a bargain!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2011

My family wanted to take a trip to the White Mtns, but we were on a tight budget. Kancamagus Motor Lodge was everything I hoped for.

KML gives more personal service, like they really care, than the big higher-priced timeshare condos. Every time we went in the office, the people were friendly and helpful.

All the basic amenities were well-covered, such as cable TV, a small fridge, A/C, and a clean working shower/tub. Our room had two comfortable full size beds. I liked how there were two windows so we could get a cross breeze of the fresh mountain air. My family enjoyed the playground that was on-site, the yard, and pool. My son also had fun playing the video games, but I must say bring quarters, as their change machine was empty at times. Also, we weren't big fans of the food or service at Brittany's Cafe. It was just okay old-school American fare. They did have a nice large patio, but we were not seated out there. The sports bar was more popular than the Cafe as well.

I loved the location; it was amazing!! The lodge was right on the Kancamagus Highway in Lincoln with beautiful mountain views, and near restaurants, stores, and Loon. This place is a winner!

Fantastic pool, two restaurants, very accomodating owner, reaaly good value, excellent location. With all the stuff we cart naround as a family, it was convenient to just drive up to our front door. My wife was leary of the term 'motor lodge', we wanted a nice thanksgiving vacatuon at a reasonable price. But this was as good or better than any full service hotel, the kids had a great time and we were really comfortable. The rooms are very clean and recently upgraded,a nd the whole facility is quality. Thnaks Leo!

VERY clean room, excellent customer service and wonderful location. Yes the rooms are on the small side but it makes it homey and cozy. The only "issue" we has was with Brittany's cafe, there were only three other tables at the time we went for breakfast and it took a good 20 min for us to place our order and another 20 to get our check after we were done eating. We waited for about 10 more to pay with a credit card and then just gave up and paid in cash and left. But besides that the pool was beautiful and like others we had it all to ourselves. I am already looking to book the same room for next year!!

Honestly the meal was one of the best I've ever had~great cocktails, patio dining, best waitress, Prime Rib endcut, scallops, sweet potato mash....YUM! The room was SPOTLESS, and we really enjoyed the indoor pool, even had it all to ourselves (Thursday Night). Great location lots to do. I think this is an ideal stay for many types of travellers, unless you're looking for super fancy. As far as regular hotels go Kacamagus cannot be beat. We went to Clark's trading post and were surprised at how fun it was. Also wanted to do Lost caves but were afraid for the price I wouldn't make the whole hike, so did the trails around Kinsmens Notch instead. Wish we did the zipline at Loon Mountain instead.

Clean and tidy, very helpful staff, accommodating, excellent grounds especially for children, cool outside firepit that is free to use, clean indoor pool, great restaurant - good food and great service. Didn't visit the bar.
Easy walk to area restaurants and stores. Great balcony w/privacy. Only thing that bugged me was it's very close to the main road and it's loud w/cars outside when on balcony but it's tolerable. Hi def TVs and free wireless internet.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in a hotel room with a queen bed. We had a balcony that looked out at the beautiful mountains.
The room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. The owners Leo and Nicole were very helpful with things to do and places to eat. Then there was Sammie the dog who meets and greets you.
