Awesome time! Missed out on snowboarding, but the night tubing was awesome! Great time at the Bunyan Room!

Excellent grooming and snowmaking with a good amount of natural snow made for really superior ski conditions. Great ski area for families.

“Mostly good ski resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

The pluses:
Gondola is great when it is cold, snowy or windy. Gee that never happens in New England ;-))
Good variety of slopes, plenty of blacks if you really want to thrash it.
The South Peak is a good addition to the size of the mountain, apparently opened in 2007 but it was new to us.

The not so pluses:
Obviously for the reasons above, the line forms on the gondola, and it's passengers per hour is quite a bit less than the quad chairs. You just have to get smart about when to go there.
None of the three quads have foot rests on the restraining bar. What's up with that?
Got 6" of snow overnight. Now this is terrific if one is doing first tracks but once it gets a dozen tracks through it, not so much. The snow stopped during the night and they only groomed half a dozen runs in the morning. The grooming report showed almost all the runs groomed. Yes, from the night before the snow fell! Seems to me someone could have scheduled more grooming on the blues for the morning instead of the prior night. The lift ticket office blew me off when I inquired.
Would have changed my review from very good to excellent.

“Great Mountain!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Loon is my husband's favorite mountain. I enjoy this mountain as well, but this is by far his favorite. Its big, and there are alot of different trails, each time you go its like you found another trail.

The staff are friendly,.. and they are always pumping out snow.

It does get a little crowded, but that happens at most mountains.

I definitely recommend checking out Loon mountain, if you haven't yet.
