We stayed at Wadleigh Falls for five days. We had a great site right on the river and not too far from the bathrooms. Before going, we thought you could swim in the river but that is NOT the case. It's dark like coffee and teaming with awesomely huge turtles. Very wonderful sight for fishing and watching the turtles. There are also tons of gigantic bull frogs in the marshy area right near the bathroom, this can be a little loud at night. Overall, the six kids with us absolutely loved everything about the place. We enjoyed the pool very much. The playground is a backyard swingset, the rec room was kind of a wreck - but we were there to camp and have fun outdoors. Walmart super-center is about ten minutes away and there was a place just outside the campground that sold great wood for $3 a bucket! The showers have a trick to them to make them hot, I took a hot shower everyday (you have to put it on start, put your quarter in, turn it all the way until it drops, then turn it back to "on"). The bathrooms weren't the nicest, but I brought some bleachy wipes, paper towels, soap and toilet paper and we were just fine - better than an outhouse. It would be nice if someone from the campground would just get in there and give it a full on blasting with a power-washer, but it really wasn't that bad. The staff were friendly and courteous, they let us do our thing and we had a great time! If you're looking to camp, this is a great place to do it!
