“Bike week 2014”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014 via mobile

Fun biker spot to visit. This place has a very Sturgis feel. Staff was friendly and scantily clad as they should be for bike week.

“Was there somepart of BIKER BAR you didn't understand?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Every June the Spoke comes alive for the oldest continuously running annual Motorcycle event on the planet. Since 1916 (1917 if you only count sanctioned events) Laconia has been host to a week of pure motorcycle immersion. There's a "Spoke" at all the big bike events and this one is on a par with all but Sturgis. The "Spoke" is not meant to be a family eatery. Its a big, loud bar with lots of "Beer, Bourbon, Babes, and Bikes" During bike week in June its hard to get near the place and while it is near a place called "Funspot" it is not for lunch with Grandma and the little kids. If Bike Week was a family event, motorcycles would have 4 doors. We spend time at the Spoke every year and will continue to do so as long as we attend Bike Week. It fits well with the New Hampshire "Live Free or Die" mindset.
The food by the way, is actually pretty good if you stay within the confines of sandwiches and always ask the bartender what's good TODAY (they have specials at times) and you might want to take a few pictures while you're there as we have captured some great memories, some of which might bring a PG rating, but they will always bring smiles. The date of our visit should read every year in JUNE but that was not an option in the "when did you visit" portion of this page.

“Yawn...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Mediocre food and atmosphere... Stopped by on Labor Day weekend and found it nearly empty... The food was average... The atmosphere (yawn) couldn't wait to leave... Maybe we arrived at an off time... IDK...

“Bar - NOT a family restaurant!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Don't be deceived by the proximity to FUNSPOT.

There's a lot a could say, but since the waitress was very nice, I will refrain.

Let me just mention this - My son ordered a meatball sub. When he got it, the meatballs were black! Why? Apparently the meatballs were cold so the "chef" deep fried them!

YIKES!

It was downhill from there....

On the plus side - apparently very popular with bikers.

“No blue mountains here!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

My hubby likes his mountains very blue!! It's a shame they are not prepared for all the bikers, on BIKE WEEK IN LACONIA!! Ice that beer down, no one wants to go ridding and stop into a bar to hear the beer isn't cold yet. They have a year to plan and get ready, really people! The staff could welcome you and make you feel welcomed instead of an inconvenience. Outside of that, it's a great place to sit outside and watch/listen to the bikes go by!!!
