“Great beer...terrible acoustics”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Elm City has fantastic beer and the burgers are great...but with just a few people in there one cannot hear. All hard surfaces bouncing all the clatter around...We don't
go there except for summer
months when we can sit outside.

“Beer OK, Food below average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

Went here late one Friday afternoon. There were a few tables being served a late lunch/early dinner. The atmosphere is nice enough, clean, decorative but not cluttered. We ordered a couple beers and they were good but not great. We also ordered a basket of this places signature onion rings, big mistake. When they arrived they were dripping in grease, so much so that there was at least ½ of an inch of grease in the bottom of the basket. We each tried to eat one but they were just too poorly cooked and so greasy we couldn’t finish even one. The sandwiches were a little better. I had the pastrami sub and that was nice however, it arrived with no garnish and since we opted out for the chips that went with it, just a sandwich in the middle of a large plate arrived. My wife had a sandwich with vegetables and smoked salmon. It looked good but was very dry. When we asked our waitress for the check she noticed the grease pooling in the bottom of the onion ring basket and asked about them. We just said they were a little too greasy for our taste not wanting to make a big deal out of it. When she returned with our check the manager had removed the charges for one of our beers because of the onion rings. Since we didn’t complain I guess it was a nice gesture but there was nothing wrong with the beers it was the onion rings that sucked. Anyway, we might give them another chance if we are in the area but won’t get our hopes up.

“Fantastic beer, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

One of our favorite restaurants! If you love a great beer (many to choose from, brewed on-site) and great food, this is a great choice. Pretty extensive menu with lots of choices from salads to entrees. They always have great daily specials as well. Reservations aren't a bad idea because it is busy most nights. Lots of room in the beer hall if you have a large group. In the warmer times of the year, this restaurant has the best outdoor dining area in the area.

“Great food”

This is an upscale brewery/restaurant. They have a great menu that covers almost anyone's taste. The wait staff was excellent as well as the food.

“A Must for Microbrew seekers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

The first thing I do in any new city I visit is pull out my Beer-seeking GPS and drag whoever is with me to the first local Microbrew restaurant I can fine. In Keene, NH, it was Elm CIty Brewing Company. I am rarely disappointed, and this place was no exception. The Swiss Burger was perfect pub food to wash down with a couple of beers, and I was very happy with the visit. If you search for local beers like I do, make this a stop along the way.
