I don't know if you will even care, but I had the worst experience with this hotel this weekend. My boyfriend & I stayed at cheaper hotels & had better experiences. We made reservations over a month ago for this weekend & we were so excited to get there & have a valentines, anniversary & my birthday all wrapped into one, but we didn't even stay more than 12 hours. My boyfriend is an iraqi veteran, a single dad & a great boyfriend. He was paying over $1,300 for this weekend. We had reservations from friday to monday, including massages. But when we got there & realized we weren't getting the room we reserve we were so disappointed. Because we both work all day & were up for 40 hours straight just to get there, plus 4 hour drive to get there, we had to sleep. So we checked out early saturday morning. The messed up part was no one could fix it. And now we will never ever come there again. It's too bad cause you have a beautiful hotel. We missed our dinner reservation by a minute (because of the 4 hour travel), good thing we brought food, cause we weren't going to eat, there was nothing anyone could do. I'm sorry, but someone should of offered something. With the amount of $ we were spending, someone should of done something. Also, we told the woman on saturday that we wanted to leave and that we would pay for the night because we did stay the night, but we had to pay meal tax for the food we never ate, cancellation fee for the massages we didn't get & it was your fault not ours. With the amount of money each room cost, you should of ate those charges to keep us happy, but you didn't. This ended up being the worst weekend ever, I will stick to the cheaper hotels from now on, thanks to our experience with you. And like I said before, you probably don't care but I had to vent and let you know cause we told alot of people about this weekend, and they are going to ask how our weekend was, and we are not going to have alot of good things to say and word of mouth is the best advertisement. Thank you for your review and we are sorry to read that you had such an awful weekend. I honestly do not think that we had much to contribute to your experience. Your boyfriend booked your room directly on-line with no contact with us and he booked a Fairlawn Deluxe with an indoor Jacuzzi tub as at his time of booking that is all we had available. Clearly you were under the impression that he had booked a hot tub room although your confirmation said differently, we simply reserved for you what you had booked. As far as dinner goes, it was Valentine’s evening and extremely busy but you choose not to dine with us although you had a dinner reservation and I held your table for you for 45 minutes. You did not call or let us know that you had decided not to join us for dinner and that portion of your rate has been returned to your credit card. On Saturday morning you choose to check out early and we had to cancel your massage appointments at the last minute causing you to incur a $25.00 cancellation fee. That fee considering it was so last minute and the therapists were fully booked for the holiday weekend is normal and very fair as they were unable to rebook and make up for that lost revenue.
Again Kristin, we are very sorry to read that your special weekend, I hope that once you and your boyfriend returned home you were able to make the best of it and enjoy your time together.
