“This is a very cozy homey pub with a...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2010 via mobile

This is a very cozy homey pub with a fireplace going and people having a good time. We didn't order any food but the beer was good as they have some nice local ones on tap. Lots of friendly locals if you want to talk XC skiing in Jackson! Great atmosphere and will definitely come back next time!

“Used to be a great place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2010

We went to this restaurant many times several years ago and it was great. Our recent trip was disappointing - average food, overpriced. Should have read these reviews.

“Better & Better Each Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2009

We have become regulars here because of the well trained and attentive wait & host staff. The food seems to get better with each visit . Doing little things like serving maple flavored butter are a big plus and show the attention to detail. The ambiance is unsurpassed. The kitchen is still a bit on the slow side but I would rather wait a few extra minutes for the meal to be prepared properly. All in all its nice to go to a place that remembers your name and has the time to talk with you. Very reommended.

“"stay away"”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2009

This restaurant is not worth going to. Its food is overcooked, the service is terrible and its not worth the money. Had to ask for drinks to be brought and food to be served. Otherwise would have continued to sit even longer with nothing on table but water. Also menu is deceptive. Two dishes were not what was listed on menu. Poorly run and even after complaining there was no response.

“Slowest kitchen in town”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2009

This is a really nice place - good atmosphere, good menu, incredibly wonderful staff - which is all let down by the slowest kitchen on the planet. We went once, and overall had a pleasant experience - and figured that the two-hour wait for the meal was a temporary issue. We returned a few months later - only to run into exactly the same problem.

The wait staff is extremely good about it - on our second trip, they even suggested ways to avoid the wait (such as get soup instead of any other appetizer, since there is no wait for soup). But once again the kitchen couldn't push out a simple pasta entree in less than an hour. So, if you're hungry and have 3-4 hours to kill - it's not a bad place. But, if you were expecting on doing something else this evening - try another restaurant.
