“Mixed feelings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

A busy restaurant popular with the locals
The main restaurant is warm and inviting. The tarpaulin covered porch was cold despite the space heaters.
My food choice of pork rack was delicious but my wife's hake fish dish was unappetisingly bland and small in portion. Its not cheap and thus not exceptional value. Two entrees, two glasses of wine and two desserts came to $100 icluding the 15% gratuity

“Superb cuisine.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

We went on the recommendation of Bill Petrone, of the Buttonwood Inn, and it was a great choice. The lobster bisque was excellent, as was the shrimp starter. The T.H.E. aubergine dream was heavenly, as was the pork chop special. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented. The only disappointment was that the dessert special had vanished even before we arrived! Highly recommended.

“Excellent Food and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Brilliant, only 5 minutes walk from our Inn at Ellis River. My Wife & I had dinner here on 3 nights, great choice of food and wonderful service. Go there on a Thursday night when they offer a special menu, we had Mussels that you would die for as a starter.

“Elegant Wedding Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

The Fletchers and their staff at Thompson House Eatery went above and beyond to provide the absolute best food and service for your daughter and son-in-law's wedding. With very short notice, they put together a wonderful meal; champagne toast, fabulous appetizers, fresh and delicious veggies and the steak and chicken options were both wonderful. Personally though, I would love another steak, that buttery sauce was yummy! All the guests are still talking about the experience we all shared together at Thompson House Eatery. With all my heart I thank you!
