“I would never return”

Mediocre at best- the inn lacks charm and the warmth of a bed and breakfast inn. I frequent Bed and Breakfast inns very frequently. The pool room was not appealing. The room decor was tacky and boring.

Jackson village is very quaint. The snowflake inn is very cozy. Great place to snuggle up with someone you love. Great service! We received chocolates, and champagne in our room. We booked a couples massage. It was just ok. Everything else was excellent!

Stayed for two nights during fall tour. Lovely location away from the crowds in Lower Conway.
We arrived soon after midday to leave our luggage before going out. Our room had been finished- and inspected by the proprietor Sue Methot so we were able to check in and were amazed by the swan shaped towel arrangement on the jacuzzi in the room which had been prepared by Sue herself- and she also carried our bags upstairs without us realising. We soon felt at ease and chatted at length to Sue and her receptionist who were genuinely interested in us. There were only about eight rooms booked when we were there so things may be different when it's full.
The centre of the inn is the large peaceful lounge with an open fireplace..It is the focus of the place as Sue scuttles back and forward attending to everything. The proprietors live there and never seem to be off duty.
Our room was very comfortable with an extra seating area which we used only to spread our our luggage. The TV is so high tech that most guests were going down to reception to ask how to work it - some fuller instructions in the room would seem sensible.
Breakfast is also in the lounge which had only one table with two chairs meaning guests have to sit on sofas to eat. there was enough seating when we were there but not sure how they manage when full. The breakfast is continental only. Granola again, albeit with fruit and yogurt.Everything else is sweet pasties/ cakes but not our favourite for breakfast.

It was hard to find a place to stay during foliage time in the White Mountains, but the Snowflake Inn was available. There was good and bad about it. We got a King Suite on the first floor which was nice. It was nice to be in a quaint small town like Jackson which is away from the hustle and bustle in North Conway. Our suite had a large vanity and shower which we appreciated. Even though they did not serve a full breakfast, I enjoyed having their vanilla yogurt and granola in the morning. It was just enough to start my day. What we did not like was that there was a separate sitting room in our suite, but it was just a dark alcove with a sofa, lamp, and snack trays - - - weird. Couldn't figure out why you would want to sit there. In the room with the bed was a TV, fireplace, Jacuzzi, and window seat. Could only watch TV from the bed or Jacuzzi. Would have been nice to have a couple of chairs (or sofa) in that same room for watching the TV. My husband brought his laptop and there was no desk or table area to put it on. There was a water stain on the ceiling over the Jacuzzi and a lot of paint chipped off the doorway. Place could have used some maintenance. It was OK, but not the best.

My husband and I stayed at the Snowflake Inn for the weekend recently. It was the most romantic place we have ever stayed. Suzie and her staff and very courteous, friendly and helpful. The inn is very cozy and decorated very nicely. We stayed in one of the junior suites and let me tell you, there was nothing junior about it. It was huge! It was very clean, except we did find a clump of hair in the jacuzzi hot tub in our room. We managed to overlook that though since the room was so romantic with the fireplace and jacuzzi. The bathroom and shower were huge and clean as well. We loved the included continental breakfast which included homemade granola, yogurt, a variety of fruits and pastries as well as juice, coffee and tea.

We paid extra for the rose petals, candles and champagne in our room as well. It was well worth it.

We couldn't have asked for a more romantic stay in the very pretty town of Jackson, NH. Thank you. Brian and Michelle

Room Tip: The junior suite overlooked the beautiful grounds and was very spacious.

You are among two streams, mountains and with in walking distance of restaurants and unusual galleries in the middle of a picturesque New England town. There is a large porch to sit at to take in the views and hear the water and smell the fresh air. Outlet shopping is 20 minutes away. The innkeepers love of people shows through in all they do and provide. There are little extra's here: DVD's, Blu-rays very good Wi-Fi connection, satellite tv, fresh coffees and tea, books and puzzles and maps, creams and lotions and even q tips! Sue and Gary are knowledgeable and caring. Snowflake Inn is a romantic oasis with all the modern conveniences.

The Snowflake Inn seems to have an identity issue. It's a combination of Pocono's Romance and Year 'round Christmas. The decor is a combination of snowmen, snowflakes, Christmas trees, hearts, flowers, and bedside jacuzzi tubs. Our fellow guests seemed to be mostly seniors and many were return visitors who are in love with the place. The resident family that owns and runs it is down to earth and dedicated. There is an indoor pool/hot tub surrounded by rolled up red towels and lit pillar candles with sliding doors that look out to a porch where a fire pit is lit at night with all the supplies to make smores. Now that's really pretty neat for inn keepers to do. But the chlorine churned up into the air from the tub jets was so strong that it burned our throats and we couldn't stay in it long. I saw a reviewer write that the continental breakfast was not very good. What? Do you know what continental breakfast usually is? Bananas, yogurt, coffee, and sub-par pastries if you're lucky. This was the best "continental" breakfast we ever had. No there wasn't any eggs or sausage and the only protein was the plain yogurt for you to scoop into your excellent quality granola or fresh beautiful fruit. The fresh baked scones and nut bread was wonderful. One thing stood out to us as a weak point. In the large sun filled area where the breakfast is served, there are only two tables to sit and eat at. All other seating is living room type chairs and sofas w/coffee tables or end tables. Not really comfortable for eating cereal or balancing a plate of fruit and pastry. It wasn't for lack of space. There was tons of space. Too much almost. Just begging for at least two more round bistro tables for folks to sit at to eat. Maybe folks took their food back to their rooms but there was no table in our room. A giant jacuzzi tub right in the bedroom left no room for a desk or table.

There were fresh baked cookies out for the taking almost all the time. The place smells nice and is very clean. Their are gas fireplaces and a nice big TV in the room, and yes, the smaller room in the suites need to be repurposed with a table or desk and a large mirror to reflect daylight into the windowless space but in the end I wound up enjoying my stay at the Snowflake much more than I thought I would on first arrival. It was peaceful. Very peaceful. If that's something you would enjoy; if you love Christmas; or if you are into jacuzzi's and hot tubs you will probably really like it too. I'd go back.

Room Tip: There is no elevator and there are two floors. If you have a lot of heavy luggage you might want to...
