First, why I will never go back: the worst service in town. Some background, I work at the college and get lunch in town on most days. It seems that they spent a lot of money on making the restaurant look inviting, modern and clean from the outside, but forgot to train their employees on customer service. Don't go there hungry, because you'll wait, even if its almost empty. In fact, from my observations unless you fit a certain demographic, you'll probably be treated like dirt. I've been there a handful of times but today was THE last straw. Here is a tip for you, lunchtime cashier lady - if you mess up an order and the customer asks for a refund (because I don't have another 20mins to sit there waiting for you to re-enter the order), you do not angrily throw and slap the money on the counter. All that does is reinforce the fact that you do not understand what good or reasonable customer service is all about. You will probably anger that person who will now tell all of his coworkers and friends how terrible your restaurant treats people.
For anyone that is going to ignore the bad service alert, here is what I think of the food: it is not bad but it is overpriced (even for Hanover). For example, a BLT will set you back almost $10. It comes in a crusty french baguette, which is good. But, overall it is maybe six inches long and comes with a cheap side salad of some greens tossed with vinegar and way too much salt. If you go to Lou's, Molly, etc you could get a classic (ie: sliced bread) BLT for about the same amount or less... but the big difference is that is would be almost twice as much sandwich AND have fries! After maybe ten meals there between breakfast, lunch and dinner, the question that I ask myself is: Is their food that much better than the other choices that I'm willing to put up with their rude employees? not in my opinion.
