“A Real Irish Pub, cur n bygorrogh!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I watched the Olympics at the Pub this summer, escaping from my office late afternoons to catch the competitions and races, and holding meeting (conveniently) at the Pub when the schedule (Olympic schedule, not business schedule!) required.

Great service, friendly faces, a wide array of drafts poured with perfection, testing the physical laws of surface tension. The food is hearty and copious. I recommend the black bean soup, Shepard's Pie, any and all of the huge burgers, and the home cut fries....not just a medium for shoveling ketchup, but fantastic alone! love this place.... (can you tell?)

“Always a fun place to eat with great food at great prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

The Salt Hill Pub is a casual and fun place to eat and socialize. It has the convivial feeling of a local establishment that appeals to all types and ages and is truly reminiscent of the pubs I have visited in Ireland. It is usual to find locals as well as Dartmouth students dining in this establishment and there is always a nice feeling of camaraderie.

The food is mainly American with an Irish flair. The servings are plentiful and burgers, fries and salads are a mainstay. All the dishes are simple, but many have a nice touch which makes them special e.g. bacon on the salad or blue cheese on the Jake Burger. The Salt Hill Chop Salad offers a very large fresh salad which comes with chicken, bacon and cheese. The fries are always yummy, hot and golden. One can also order sweet potato fries.

The macaroni and cheese can be ordered with sausage and this dish is very appealing to younger children as well as adults. Typical of an Irish pub, one can find fish and chips on the daily menu and the bar offers a large selection of beers. The waitstaff is always friendly and accommodating and willing to take special requests.

I came to eat and have some drinks with a group of friends last evening. Our waitress was friendly and non-intrusive and the service was prompt, despite it being very crowded. The food was great, hot and not too expensive. We ran in to friends we knew and stayed talking over drinks for a long time. We felt comfortable sitting and talking long after we were done eating and we all had a great time.

The atmosphere at the Salt Hill Pub is convivial and relaxed and it is easy to feel at home. I always leave feeling full and happy, having had great food, great conversation and usually some laughs. And what could be better than drinking beers, eating great food and having lively conversation with friends? A place to visit again and again.

“Nice neighborhood pub!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Went to eat here a couple times and picked up food from here a couple times while visiting NH. The chicken wings are supposed to be great, per my son-in-law, and the burgers are quite good too. I even had fish and chips there and wasn't disappointed. The draw is the beer, and they have tons of different kinds. I would definitely go here again and again if I lived nearby.

“Decent Pub Food, but Noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

The Hanover location is noisy compared to the Lebanon Salt Hill. On the other hand, the outside dining option is lovely in the summer and early fall. Burgers are good, hummus platter is a favorite.
