Riding to Boston on old route 1 we came across this restaurant which was a fantastic find. The ambiance the waitress and the food were all a very pleasant surprise. You don't always find good food when walking into a restaurant blind... no recommendations from a friend and not checking trip advisor first. The bread was actually the only thing that I really didn't like. I had the Bolognaise sauce and it was by far one of the best I have had. I requested it over angel hair pasta and everyone knows that is one of the toughest things to get cooked just right when dining out... but it was perfectly cooked. Oh sorry... forgot to mention that prior to the main dish you have a choice of salad or soup. I chose the beef veg soup which was just like mom cooks. Wow... loved the soup so much I would go back just for another bowl. There is a good size bar that entwines with the restaurant so that you can watch the Bruins win! My husband got the Squid with penne in a butter and oil sauce that he said was an unbelievable surprise on how flavorful and perfectly cooked it was. He said we will be back (to the waitress) as we were settling up.
