“Great trip and guides”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Took the half day (9:30-3:00 so closer to a full day) on the Class 2/3 rapids. Good group of guides and a fun ride down. The ride is short though and you do it twice with a stop for a snack and ride back to the put in which is a little "odd." Highly recommend adding the dog sled option to your ride as the kids loved seeing the dogs (warning, you really have to be dog lovers, 130 dogs going berserk to get picked to pull the summer sled will overwhelm non-lovers. Also, wear clothes you can get dirty from head to toe, especially if there was rain during the day!

“Sean's Hole !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

From the minute we crossed the street to head to the main building we felt more then welcome being met by the owner as we crossed the road. Every single person went above and beyond to accommodate and introduce themselves. I was more than impressed ! Even the bus ride to the lake was amusing and educational all at the same time, it amazed me how much the bus driver and his co pilot knew about the community and its history .... not boring history fun crazy facts !!!

Our time out on the lake and river were amazing, I honestly have a hard time putting words to the experience ... the staff were a HUGE part of the experience. I couldn't be more happy to have made the 13 hour drive from Nova Scotia Canada to hit up the rapids.

This trip is for anyone and everyone !!! Enjoy

“The best Rafting Trip... a great day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Our first rafting adventure... we booked with NH Rafting, one of their class 4 rapid trips....

We had a family emergency prior to our trip and the owner Neil was extremely understanding and he and his team went out of their way to help us and make sure that we were more than satisfied.

Once we got started on our rafting adventure... it was a wonderful day.

Our Guide AJ, was fantastic... she kept our trip fun, exciting and the whole time we felt she absolutely was in control of our raft and had our safety foremost on her mind.

Be prepared to get wet... there is no avoiding it... relax and let it happen... wear the wet suits they offer you or bring your own... the water and wind can be cold... but if you are prepared... it is all good.

After the trip... we had about an hour to ferry back across lake Umbagog... again the entire crew did everything possible to make that part of the day fun as well.

We can't wait to get back and do it again... and we will... we've already pre-booked for next year.

“The Pontook float is a great way to start!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

If anyone is worried about not being in shape for the more rigorous trips, the Pontook float is perfect for you!

I have some experience, but I had two young adults with me who had never paddled any kind of boat before, and they loved it.

All the guides were superb -- they were entertaining and knowledgeable, as well as patient. The equipment was clean and well cared for.

We will definitely be back for more.
